So i made a mistake and had unprotected sex with a girl about 6 days ago. About 2 days after that I noticed that I had something that looked like a pimple on the shaft of my penis. I have gotten pimples there before so i didnt think anything of it. however the next day i started to have a lot of nasal irritation, which developed into multiple painful sores inside my nostrils. i also have pain along my jawline on one side where my lymph nodes are and i have a sore throat. i am worried that i may have contracted herpes. does this sound like herpes or could it just be that i have some kind of bacterial infection?

Help! possible herpes???

Two days would be pretty qucik for any symptoms to develop from that exposure. Whether you have contracted anything from her is still unclear.
Was there also oral sex involved? Otherwise I don't see how problems in your nose and throat could possibly be related to your error.
I would expect that the symptoms you are having point more to a viral or bacterial infection other than herpes.

Welcome to A2A, usscrum.I agree with readytogo, herpes blisters usually take 4-7 days to appear, so 2 days would be rather quick. Pain in the lymph nodes indicates some sort of general infection, but not necessarily bacterial - it can happen as a result of herpes infection (which is viral), for example, or just about any other infection. Sores inside the nostrils are usually impetigo ('school sores'), which is bacterial. Impetigo's incubation period is 1-3 days.I'd put my money on impetigo, but you are going to have to see a doctor regardless, who may get you tested. Impetigo is treated with antibiotics.

it's quite possible.Find a community clinic in your town. You need to see a doctor and get cleared up. I'm living with HIV positive for 2 years. Honestly, I was upset and think my sex life was over. Later I found Positivemate.com. This site was created to help people find useful, up-to-date information about prevention and cure for herpes, HPV, HIV, find safe dating with STDs. I know there are currently 33 million people living with HIV in the world. Having STDs is not the end of the world.

There is herpes simplex virus which transfer from human to human as a result of wrongful intercourse. Its cycle is from one person to another by close, direct contact. The most common mode of transmission is through vaginal, anal or oral sex. It make the affected person a dormant.
