Ok here's the deal. I bought some stuff online at a sex store.A silicone cock ring and a masturbator called cobra libre from fun factory where you put your dick in and it vibrates. Now here is what totally bothers me. Both the cock ring and the vibrator are not really sealed in a sense that you cannot open them without destroying the plastic. The cock ring is a in simple paper wrapping which you can open and close at the side so it could as well have been used and then sent back to get a refund. And the cobra libre is in a plastic packaging which you can open and close without anybody noticing it. Now stupid is that? I am really astonished. When I buy a hair cutter then it's usually totally sealed in plastic and I need cissors to open it why does they not also seal sex toys in a really safe way? What if somebody wanked into it and cleaned it and then sent it back and they reselled it thinking it was unused? This totally pisses me off! ps: I already used the cock ring I washed it wish some water before use but I still don't really feel "safe". The chance is slim but what if somebody used it before and sent it back? And it's even worse with the cobra libre because you actually cum into this thing. You stick your glans it and then it vibrates and you cum into it.

Am I too paranoid what do you think?

I'm really worrd about this.I don't understand the producers of such toys why do they sell them in packages which can be opened without breaking any seal?I think I will have to throw this toy away which cost over 100 bucks! But what if it had indeed been used by someone and somebody wanked in it and then sent it back and they sold it to me? The chance may be slim but it's still scary because I touched this thing and I also accidentally hit the start button and then the tip where you stick your head in which is made of soft silicone started to vibrate. Do you think if somebody had wanked in there and afterwards washed it off that there could have been sperm cells on the surface and then due the vibration they started flying through the air? I feel so foolish and dirty now I knew I shouldn't buy such things and I'm also angry at this online shop. I think it's incredible that they sell their toys without any security seal. But even if they had a seal then who guarantees that the toys are really new? In the end you can never really trust people. I mean there are even chemical companies which sold HIV infested blood to Africa to make money! And what also worries me is the cock ring which I used. It wasn't sealed but only in a small paper box which you can open at the side like condoms. What if somebody used it and then sent it back? Should I be worried now and get an HIV test? Cause on the shaft my skin is a bit scaly and that's exactly where this ring was and it was also pretty tight.

Wash everything with soap and hot water and quit being so freakin ridiculous...
-
Soap and water!? But let's say it was really used then somebody ejaculated in it! I don't think I can take that risk. If I knew that this got in contact with spem then I can't stick my dick in there that's disgusting. And I'm also worried about touching it. I mean I often bite my fingernails and then the skin around the fingernails can also have small tears. I have this most of the time. I mean they're not bleeding but also not totally healed. What if I touch something and then stuff can get through the skin? And I also don't know if the material (silicone + plastic) could be cleaned with an antiseptic which kills viruses. But even if it could then I'd still always be worried that somebody might have used it. I think it's simply impossible to sell sex toys in such a plastic case which can simply be open. This isn't a freaking MP3 player. I am really disappointed. This is totally unprofessional.

Quote: In order to obtain data on the survival of HIV, laboratory studies have required the use of artificially high concentrations of laboratory-grown virus. Although these unnatural concentrations of HIV can be kept alive under precisely controlled and limited laboratory conditions, CDC studies have showned that drying of even these high concentrations of HIV reduces the number of infectious viruses by 90 to 99 percent within several hours.http://hivinsite.ucsf.edu/insite?page=ask-01-10-20OK so even if it was used, nothing is going to survive on these toys by the time it got to you.. So stop already. You're being really childish.
-
But I have heard other things. I dont know if it's true but there was a scientist called Arthur Wilder Smith and he was a biologist and he wrote books about aids and what they don't tell us and I think he said that the virus can actually survive much longer than they say!And even if they are right and the virus is dead without hours would you really want to risk that and use a toy which somebody else might have used? This totally turns me off.
-
How much longer?Anyways, that's your problem and your supposition.
-
I dont know how long but it was pretty long also under heat.
He has an mp3 about this if you want to listen. I dont want to listen to it now because it would scare me to hear how long he says the virus can survive on surfaces.http://www.wildersmith.org/mp3/O274.mp3
This man was a christian and a scientist so I really cannot imagine that he would lie why should he?
-
Arthur Wilder Smith? You can find anyone, everywhere who will say anything to sell a book, get attention or just to hear their own head roar. Don't get suckered in by every huckster and snake-oil salesman on the planet.Go with what the American Medical Association (AMA) says and the AMA agrees with the information SDP provided.
-
Check out his credentials. He doesnt look like a snakeoil salesman.http://www.wildersmith.org/curriculum.htm
-
Stick with standard medical doctrine and you will be fine. Leave the judgment of his work to the peers in his field more capable of intelligently dissecting it.You don't approach science by looking at someone's credentials or personal credibility. Scientific claims are judged by the methodology that produced the result and by the ability of other to replicate the same result. This is a big wide world and one-in-billion chance occurrences happen all the time, just because somebody got something to take place once under specific conditions doesn't mean that's how it reliably occurs in the real world.Without peer review a claim is just that, a claim. Don't be suckered in by citation of unverified, un-replicated evidence.
-
But if HIV dies so quickly outside of the body then sharing tattoo needles and stuff like that would be no problem at all. Just wait a few days and then you can use them again but this is not the case so it doesn't seem to be that simple.
-
I'm sorry, but you're being ridiculous. Most, if not all, of these stores have a return policy which basically consists of "If you open the UPS box, keep it." You've got to remember, they're a company too, they don't want anything bad to happen to you as it means less money for them.
As for the rest, yes, I think you're being paranoid. Make a choice, either use it, knowing it's fine, or don't on the off chance the rubber might have a slim to none remotely possible of being contaminated.
If you can't stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen. -
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A._E._Wilder-SmithIf you wipe the things with alcohol or diluted bleach it will fully disinfect them. I think the chances they have been used before are negligible but I do tend to agree that these things ought to be sold sealed.
-
But it's made of plastic and silicone and I don't even know if you can put alcohol on it.where I live you can send back stuff 4 weeks this is determined by laws. Of course you will find no shop which says you can use it and send it back but what's this worth if you can unwrap it without destroying the package? Even condoms could be open and taken out without anybody noticing it because you can open the box on the side there are no seals. So theoretically a crazy person could buy condoms open the box take one out and then take a very thin needle and insert something into the blister where they condom is in. And even the lube which they sell has no seal. I bought Gun Oil and you can just press on the cap and it comes out this means that somebody could have put other stuff in there and sent it back. It's simply a joke that you can send such kinds of things back for 4 weeks. We're not talking about shoes even though sending back shoes is also disgusting. But the most blame definitely gets the producer for being so damn stupid and not thinking about this! When even hair cutters are sealed then why not do sex toys? Damn assholes! This cost me over 100 bucks.
-
OMG.... NEVER put alcohol on plastic and silicone.....
Get a life tony.
-
but then how shall I clean it and kill viruses?
-
I was joking...
-
If you're that paranoid send them back.
-
I cannot send it back because I opened it and also read the manual and this stuff also attracted a lot of dust which is very visible on it. I'm not sure if they would take it back.Anyway, I wanted to try it and know how it is and so I wrapped 3 thin plastic bags around it and then also put a condom on and used it this way. This is how it looks:http://xelline.com/shop/images/5000803.gifEven though the plastic bags were around it I could still put my head in the opening and then turned it on and tested all the different settings. Do you think that using it this was with a condom and the bags around it was safe?It made a lot of noise and also vibrated pretty strong but to be honest it's not really that good. It took a long time til I finally came and I had to push it pretty hard against my head.
