Of someone who can't get in shape... Well, my definition of in shape. I just wanted a light 6 pack, and my pecs toned, and my arms fairly toned. And I just can't.A lot of people think I'm in pretty good shape, but I'm just a tad over average, but considering I went from 265 to 130 then back to 150. I'm fairly good. but that was a few years ago.it wouldn't bother me, except the vast amount of work I put it, and bothers me more, the no amount of work my brothers, and some of my friends put in who surpassed me.I look like someone who was average who hit the Gym fairly good for a month or so. Only problem is, I've looked this way for over a year.I get a couple of hours of cardio daily, sometimes walking, sometimes cycling, sometimes dancing, it varies daily so I don't over work my muscles.I have a fairly healthy diet, no Soda plenty of water, next to no junkfood, fruits, non fatty meats. It could be a bit better, but low budget. And I do all forms of exercise, I've tried several different ways, I've worked myself like a dog, I barely worked and tried to let my body rest a lot, then I chose to stick with a happy medium. But nothing really changed. It's driving me mad.I do crunches, I do cardio, I do dieting, eat small meals to raise metabolism all 4 of the magic things people tell you oh you should just do a lot of this and it'll help....... Bullshit, no it doesn't. Then there's my little brothers, who eat cereal all day, and junk food, and candy bars and drink soda, and kool-aid and milk. And while yeah they're young, they're also completely ripped -.- they're 11 and 8 but have a visible 6pack and toned pecs, it's bs.And it won't change. My brother lived with us 17-19, for 2 years, he was almost a sloth, slept 10-14 hours a day (not exaggerating) Got up drank a half a case of soda, ate 2 big bowls of cereal for breakfast, had 2 grill cheese and 2 packages of ramen noodles for lunch, and our dinners were pretty large back then (he's 24 now) But he stayed at 130 pounds, and did no exercise, hell he hardly walked. But he was one of the most toned people ever -.-I could understand if I haven't been doing it long, or if I didn't do much work, but this is bullshit. I've changed my lifestyle to revolve around healthy eating and exercising, and it's done nothing. Is my body just physically broken.

Some of it might be age. When you are very young your metabolism is so fast, if you also have the right genes you can eat a lot and still be thin. I was like that. But as I passed 20 or so, I began to notice I was not quite so thin, and I had to work on it a bit - and it got worse as the years went on.

I only just turned 19

As someone actively trying for a 6 pack now..Let me say don't stop working for it.. and don't stop trying.Have you been to bodybuilding.com ?Also.. just keep in mind once you get it.. you've earned it.. and have something to be proud of.Genetically some people are just lucky... One advantage you have over them.. is when you finally get it.. and work to keep it.. You will be use to doing the work.As they age.. their situations change.. and they lose it.. it will be harder for them to get it back.. to do the work they need to do to maintain it.Keep going, don't look down, and be proud of what you do and who you are.I'm 260 and feel like I'm dying of starvation because over the last week I've switched to a strict lower calorie diet (I am calling it a 'diet' because, a diet is what you eat.. although its a life style change more than a "diet" in the traditional sense.)Trying to hit 1800 or less calories a day.. I wake up and the first thing I do in the morning is a mile of cardio in the gym before doing crunches and everything else..Keep with it man.
