3 weeks ago I started getting an uncomfortable tingling sensation in the corner of my lips. When I looked I had small, barely visible white spots on the inside of my upper lip, maybe 10 or 12. they weren't in a cluster. the tingling went on for about 2 days. the white spots have not gone away, they don't hurt, they aren't bumps. i was worried about herpes but when i went to the docters, first they blood tested me for herpes(which was negative) and my docter told me she doesn't think it's herpes. what is it?

What are these white spots on my lip?

I wonder if the spots and tingling are separate - that you just noticed the spots because of the tingling, but they were always there. Then the spots would just be ordinary Fordyce spots. If a blood test for herpes was negative, perhaps the tingling was something, such as a small boil, impinging on a nerve?
