Today after a ten minute sprint/jog to church I sat down was a little nauseated from the run but was ok. I was standing for the songs and then about ten or so minutes in I got a sudden nausea flash that I was surprised didn't make me throw up in the middle of church. I sat for a minute thinking it would go away but then my vision was blurred and darkened, I felt dizzy, I also got really warm. I ran to the bathroom ready to throw up but nothing came up. I sat for about 5 minutes waiting for the blurring and heat to go away. I went back and sat cold for around three minutes. Do you know what this is? Can you please explain why this happens if you do.

What happened?
-
drop in blood sugar? Had you had anything to eat beforehand?
-
Yes. The reason I was almost late was due to me eating. What I had was a larger serving of clam chowder.

It's possible you got a bit over-heated from the sprint; or perhaps a bit dehydrated. Or you could be coming down with a virus and the run just put more strain on the system.
-
Definitely possible but it seems weird that it hasn't happened before when I run quite often. Also I don't see how I could be dehydrated when I had just had about 16 oz.'s of water before hand. Also you say virus... What type do you think might it be?
-
A virus could be anything--something as a simple as a "cold."
-
I know that but, what type does he think it to be is my question
-
I don't have any specific type in mind. Sometimes you can get a very mild infection from a virus that just makes you a bit under the weather for a bit, and it could be almost anything.
-
I don't run very often, but whenever I used to I would get nauseous. My friend said it had something to do with a build up of lactic acid.

The nausea you experienced was most caused from your body shutting down "Unneeded" stuff to provide enough energy for the run but for me it happened about ten mins after the run which it adequate enough time for me to fully recuperate from it.
