Does ist cause erectile dysfucntions? Prostate problems? Relationship issues?

What's the downside of Masturbation?
-
A common belief is that masturbation doesn't cause erectile dysfunction. However, there's been no large scale study to confirm or deny any negative effects of excessive masturbation (and also what is defined as excessive masturbation). There are studies indicating that masturbation in young men could increase the risk of prostate cancer and that masturbation in older men could decrease prostate cancer. http://www.webmd.com/prostate-cancer/news/20090127/masturbation-and-prostate-cancer-risk
As for relationships, that's between you and your partner.

The only real problem is from over masturbation, like 3+ times a day this can bring on all sorts of problems, leading up to ED, problems are nerves, eye floaters, memory lose of, skin problems, lost of erections during sex, and then on to ED.
If you can keep masturbating to just twice a week your OK this just keeps things ticking over.
Just remember you can have sex 3 times a day with no real problems apart from being tired, but during sex this releases endorphins around your body, as masturbation does nothing like this, its just keeps saping away your life.Good Luck

I'd want to see a citation for that comment that masturbation and sex differ in the hormones they release (and the other medical issues).
-
@Ineligible Just get out there and do research, your find it will open your tiny mind to the full facts that are out there, but you wont find a citation, what would a citation on over masturbation look like.
If you had read above there are no full work ups on over masturbation, but fill free and shot me down but with real facts if you think my answer is so wrong.
Have you worked with any guys who have problems from over masturbation? try doing that then come back to and say what you have done then.NOWHARD
-
@NOHARD It is possible to disagree without being insulting. Let's all try.
-
@readytogo The problem is he like you, he does not understand real facts, you both want them put in front of you instead of broadening your own minds by doing research, I have, try it its all there even if its only in bits and pieces, its the pieces that go to make a whole picture just the same as a jigsaw does.
I did the same to get over ED when the big blue pill gave me really bad side effects, just search its all there, it helps us all understand things a lot better than just having things put in front of you.
Get the picture.

@NOHARD You have made some assertions that I can not find reference to. Is it asking too much for you to post links to the sources of information upon which you base your opinions?
I think that if you look back on some of ineligible's prior responses on other topics, you will probably find that he frequently posts links with his comments.
-
@readytogo To What assertions are you now talking about, if its about over masturbation I gleamed all my info about 4 years ago, when you go looking you have to go round some very odd corners to get what you really wont, come at the subject from different angles, sit back and re-think, then your find it in bits and pieces, you will not find it all in one little nice package, also some comes from forums that doctors work on, so now can you see the picture to get it all right to pass on.
OK

@readytogo Here you go got to this just by googling over masturbation side effects.
http://www.homeoint.org/site/ahmad/masturbation.htm
This could be the nut shell your looking for, and its a full one.

@readytogo This answer come from just googling over masturbation side effects and hormones.
http://dump.bitcheese.net/files/inytuxo/Mental_Effects_Of_Over_Masturbation.html
With this and others you may find there is lots to read, no short answers, but this does not state about endorphins these we only get through full sex and not masturbating, its not the way our body's work, only women can get an endorphin high from masturbation, not men, for us its just full blown sex.
good Luck

Nowhard, you can find on the Net lots of agreement with almost any proposition; and also with its opposite. The question you need to ask is, how reliable is this information? What evidence is it based on?
The first site you linked to, with text that could have been written a century ago, is by a Dr. Sayeed Ahmad, who, from his biography seems to have only one post-secondary qualification, an entry-level Diploma in Homeopathy from the British Institute of Homeopathy (a distance education institution). Homeopathy, you may be aware, is considered by the medical profession as quackery with no evidence behind it.
The second site is by the infamous Dr Newman K Lin, of "The Lin Institute - An Orgasmic and Bioelectric Engineering Research Institute". He's another quack, I'm afraid.
-
@Ineligible Look just go look for yourself, just keep putting every thing you like down, but at the end of the day what do you have to answer it then, you cant just bury your head in the sand and say there is nothing here so it does not happen, you need to get out and smell the fresh air.
End of the day just how many guys have you helped over this problem? how many have said thank you? well they have to me, but then you would need proof, yes your just going to have to take my word.
Don't forget some of these guys who over masturbate are doing it 10 times a day or more, were not talking guys who masturbate 3 times a week, and they do know they have a problem and they know what it is, they just need a shoulder, and a push in the right direction, these are what these forums are for, but you cant see that, you just love to question if you and just you don't think its the right answer.
Just try getting away from this site and do some answering elsewhere, there a whole world away from ATAF, try getting out there.NOWHARD

@Ineligible So what's wrong with this list on this site http://www.lin-institute.org/herbs/viagrowth-4.htm, some of these I take, and they work, wait till you get ED and Viagra does not work or you get very bad side effects, your find out, when you go researching for away out back to a full sex life, this guy has it right, don't put some one down all because he use herbs and supplements, these are the steps to modern day drugs, where do you think the roots to all the drugs you take to day come from then. and still do, labs are still working on new and old roots, bark, leaves, flowers, seeds and anything else that saves lives, and you have the gall to call him a quack, and you have what on the wall to denounce him, some citation now doubt, you are a doctor then?

Putting people down is not what I'm about, but if we give people information, we should do the best we can to ensure we don't give wrong information. We can't be absolutely certain about whether information is right or not, but we should at least look for the evidence behind it, and anecdotal evidence is pretty weak (for one thing, it is self-selected).
Now I agree with you that 10 times a day might well indicate a problem of some kind, just because it's unusual--perhaps some sort of compulsion, perhaps as a substitute for something missing, perhaps as a means of turning from a generally awful outside world. But that doesn't mean it will cause the specific consequences you suggest.
I don't have enough knowledge of some of the herbs in that list to say much. I will note that though herbal medicines once formed the root of most drugs, this is no longer the case. Most drugs we use now are better than what is in plants, as well as more reliable in dose. And yes, I have some qualifications in the area.
-
Perhaps it's worth talking more about the relationship between herbal medicines and modern drugs. Problems with traditional herbal medicines include:
- An awful lot of traditional herbs don't do what they are supposed to do.
- Of ones that do work, the potency is variable: it often depends on the season, recent weather, soil, variety, etc.
- There is often a mixture of active compounds present, with different effects, including undesirable effects.
The first improvement that was made was to isolate active compounds, so they could be had free of undesirable compounds. This also made the dose reliable.
The second improvement was to chemically modify active compounds, to modify their activity in desirable ways.
However, though some drugs used now are indeed still isolated from plants (e.g. morphine), or are chemically modified from plant compounds (e.g. codeine), most modern drugs do not derive from plants. Some have been found by screening lots of random compounds, but more and more drugs are now designed from theoretical knowledge of how they are expected to work (though there is nearly always still some experimental tweaking of the structure).
Traditional herbal remedies still do occasionally bring forth something new. Artemisinin for malaria was discovered in 1972 from a traditional Chinese herb--but nearly 200 traditional Chinese medicines for treating malaria were tested in the work, and this was the only one that was actually effective.
Preparations that contain large numbers of medicaments ('polypharmacy'), like the list you linked to, are not generally considered a good idea, because they greatly multiply the possibilities of undesirable interactions with other drugs or with each other. Also, they give the impression that the prescriber has no idea what is actually wrong. :)
-
@Ineligible So you have a citation then, I thought a citation in the USA was like giving out as road tickets, or an award for bravery, and not to back what anyone has said.
What I picked was just two thing from just two very quick search's, as I do lots of work on other forums, see I do work on other forums sitting on here waiting for an post to come in every 6 months must be very boring.
No wonder you get hot under the collar, when in comes someone with an answer you don't like or just cant understand, this is why you do need to get out of here and answer on other forums.
Stretch your brain out a bit, don't keep looking to put answers down, try trusting what others say, get out and work with guys who have these problems, kind words don't cure problems, these guys do need real answers, and some do need to be told what they need to do and when.

@NOHARD You are really becoming annoying. Ineligible, readytogo, Roc and myself have been at this forum for many many years.... 12-14 years actually. This forum used to be VERY VERY active years ago but has died off quite a bit as Facebook and other internet sites have taken hold. We and others here have all helped many different people with all sorts of problems both very serious and trivial. We have also seen all sorts of nonsense on these forums. You however know nothing about us but seem to be the "bitchy" one when we question some of your statements. I personally (and it might be true of the others) have absolutely no interest in hitting up any other forums to give advice to others. Been there, done that. So please keep your condescending comments about getting out there and searching etc. to yourself. We really don't need it.
-
@sdp So your saying not to trust what others say, Its just us 4 as we are gods, no one else's answers mater and we will question them, as we don't like them even if there right.
As asked before just how many of you have helped others over, the over masturbating problem?
Had no answer to that so it must be non then.
This is why you do need to move around to do any good, get a real fill for others problems and how to answer them.
By the way its your people who are the annoying ones, asking for a citation, come on, somebody really does need to get a life, if they need info just go out and find it like I did, try and get to the bottom of problems.
But when somebody then questions what is on the web, from a site on the web, makes one think them should they really be here then.NOWHARD

I not saying anything except that you should table your condescending attitude. This site has seen it's glory days which has long passed. I have better things to do than research the net and seek people to help. If that's what you want to do, then go ahead. Just drop your pissy attitude if we dispute some questionable things you "read on the internet".
