I was curious and tried to reach my prostate with my finger which didn't work. I think my finger is too short.
But the inside of the rectum also feel strange. I dont know if this is normal. I was in only for maybe 2-3 inches.
I thought that the skin there would be totally smooth but it wasn't smooth. It felt like there are folds all around my finger.
I also can't say it felt good or arousing. Not really sure what's supposed to be so great about sticking something up there.

How does the rectum usually feel on the inside?
-
@lilstu Good question.
The rectum feels hot, soft and plyable to me, the sphincter is wringly and tight and the Prostate Glan is inside the rectum and feels like a much harder surface. The prostate gland is located directly inside the rectum. I’d say no more that 2-3 inches inside. If you try it again, I suggest trying it again while you are masturbating. try using your middle finger and make sure it’s got lots of lube on it. Try rubbing the tip of your middle and index finger just on the top and around the opening of your anus and while your masturbating. Its should feel pretty good. As it feels better push your finger slightly inside a little more each time. Make sure you use a lot of lubrication as it will help your sphincter muscle relax and not be painful. You should know it, when you touch it, as it will be a much harder surface than the soft feeling of the rectum wall. It might produce a very intense feeling. Personally rubbing it just as I cum magnifies the feeling tremendously. I also like using a vibrator and vibrate the gooch area but not inserting it. Figure out what works for you, but it will take you awhile to experiment on what rocks your boat. Mine is super uber sensitive. I really dread going in for my yearly physical. The split second my doctor sticks his finger in my ass and rubs it across the surface of my Prostate to check it, I ejaculate all over the place without warning. Uncontrollably. Its a very different kind of orgasm. Its a split second phenomenal sensation, then its done. it all happens without getting hard too. I guess it’s just embarrassing for me. But my doctors been my doctor for over 30 years and just knows it happens...Honestly, Some men like it. gay or straight, it doesn’t matter Some men don’t. Some men do but won’t admit it, some men won’t even try it. Its all up to you and what you find with your personal sexuality exploration. The way I look at it is... How can you expect someone that you’re having sex with or want to have sex with, know what you like stimulated or played with that will to product the most intense, toe curling, world rocking orgasm you can possibly have. You have to know what rocks your world, so you can show them and help guide them to making that happen.
Good luck and have fun experimenting..

Wow, that sounds incredible.
I have had a prostate exam with ultrasound and he also stuck his finger in and I didn't really feel much or get aroused.I don't know, but I've experimented a few times and stuck a finger in my ass and somehow it felt strange and not really the way I expected.
I couldn't really find any orientation in there. I mean it's not like I stick my finger in there and then there's a straight narrow tube and then after a few inches
there's an evelation which is the prostate. I couldn't even really identify the prostate. I pressed my finger against something but didn't feel any sensations.
I even asked myself if it's possible that somehow I'm anatomically not normal but since I've had a prostate exam already I assume that if something was abnormal
the doctor would have noticed it. -
All men are different. Some react to a prostate exam and some don't. My doctor, thankfully, is very quick--in and out (no time for arousal). I guess when you've had your finger in so many guys, you know exactly what you're feeling for and don't have to go exploring.

What is actually better prostate digital exam or prostate ultrasound? I'd assume ultrasound reveals more than simply feeling it, right? Then why even do a digital exam and not simply ultrasound?
-
Everything comes down to $$$.
-
You mean digital is cheaper that's why patients get it?
-
That's what insurance will pay for.
-
So this means that ultrasound is better than digital?

digital exam or prostate ultrasound
@lilstu Here's my take on it. Although I agree with Marc. In most cases it come down to what is covered by your insurance, Having an ultrasound is one way of looking at the male pelvis and prostate. It is not necessarily "better" than the digital rectal exam or a cystoscopy; its just different. The Ultrasound is the only way to look inside the tissue of the prostate which is not done with either the DRE or the cystoscopy.
If just the rectal exam would give equivalent results my guess is they wouldn't bother with the ultrasound. A prostatic ultrasound can be very reliable and accurate; depending on what the problem is and what you are looking for. It is most often used in cases of prostate cancer to assist in taking biopsies. A digital or cystoscopy exam does not really "tell the doctor everything". Like most tests, it has its limitations and its strengths. It is essential for checking bladder tumors, not as good for Prostate pain issues. It is common to do a rectal exam prior to the ultrasound for orientation and positioning. -
That makes sense.
I once had a prostate ultrasound and the doctor said that my prostate was already pretty large for my age. I think he said 30ml or so.
But he said this is of no concern but it was weird cause I suffer from low testosterone. Because of this he rather assumed that I'd have a small
prostate. I also wasn't able to find my prostate with my finger so I thought it must be small.
