Why do people eat corn if it comes out looking pretty much the same way as it did when you ate it?

@Roc Well if you don't chew it it might but I would think only the casing is not digested, but the internal part is expressed during chewing and digested.

Yes, if you pick the bits of corn out and investigate further you'll find their filling is not the same as when you ate it. :)

I'll take your word for it.... I'm not going to investigate any further... seeing it, is enough.
I just saw the kernels and assumed it wasn't digested.

What you are seeing in the output is just the outer shell of the kernel. It is fiber with no nutritional value and is meant to move other things along with it.
