Welcome to A2A, Amar2801.
Kidney stones crystallise out of the urine, gradually building up and becoming bigger. This can happen when the urine is too concentrated, so the best way of preventing them is by drinking plenty of water, making sure you keep well hydrated.
The actual compound that crystallises out varies. It is most often calcium oxalate, but stones of calcium phosphate, uric acid, or magnesium ammonium phosphate, are also commonly seen.
