I really need to gain weight. I don't have an eatting disorder; I've always been rather small/skinny but now it's out of hand. I weigh 93 lbs, I'm 5'0" and 17. I eat a little less than normal (nothing appeals to me). But lately, I've been eatting more than normal and I'm still not gaining anything. Anyone have any suggestions? I'm trying to be on a high-carb diet.

5'0 and 93 pounds doesn't sound terribly underweight to me. but i'm sure it wouldn't hurt to put on a few pounds. try to pack in a few extra calories with each meal. you could drink ensure shakes or something. there are lots of high calorie meal replacement bars that you could eat in addition to your meals.

they have plenty of calories if they are used in addition to meals... basic math-- if you have an extra 300 calories per day with one shake in a week or so you will gain a pound. if you have 2 shakes 600 calories, you'll get there faster.

I recently gained 20 pounds because my doctor told me I was underweight. I increased my intake by eating 4 meals a day. I didn't eat quite as much at each meal, but I ate more frequently. Another thing, eat anything and/or everything that tastes really good, cuz chances are, it's hella fat. One thing I did drink a lot was hot chocolate.
