In reply to: hmmmm ... what about all that stuff like ... if god exists why did he let hitler kill so many jews and other ppl ? Seldom does God intervene with the will of humans. He must let choice exist and with it humans have the power to create bane and blessing.

Do you believe in God?

"It's noted that you said there is gravity on the moon."i didnt say theres gravity on the moon. i ment the moon has its own gravitational pull. "You can't see it, or touch it, yet you still believe it's gravity making things fall or making things stay put. How do you know it's gravity and not something else."i know its gravity because thats what they named the force that is "making things fall or stay put". if you are able to measure gravity, then it has to be there.

this starts to suck .everyone has ther right to thinkg what he wants aobut "God"it brings us nowhere if they say "YES" and we say "NO"
-
The fact is that nobody on here knows if he does or does not exist.
-
there's probably about six other ways of explaining why stuff falls to the earth, gravity is just the observation of the tendencies of two mass's motion, it doesn't even explain why it happens.
-
Yet I still respond because I like sharing what I think.
-
When are you all going to realize that no one side is going to win this argument?
-
We've established that the moon has its own gravitational pull. Now tell me why, when the earths gravitational pull is 83% stronger than the moons why the earth isn't pulling the moon into our atmosphere at an alarming rate? The moon has ONLY 1/6 of the earth's gravitational power. It can't be proven one way or another that He exists. The only way to know is when we die. So by all means, if anyone here has died and come back and knows for sure..could you let me know if there's a heaven or not? I believe. That's all there is to it. I can look beyond my scientific hoo hah and believe that there's something more despite what "evidence" people think they come up with.

Greatly put, Cenfath.

Yes I did mean that as "god's will", why else would a god allow man killing man?
And followed by my next statement "there will never be peace while man walks the earth".
-
Your Fact, is wrong amanda. there are people who know that God is real, they're called believers.
-
Cenfath, the moon does not come down to earth at an alarming rate, for two main reasons. Both have to do with physics. A: the Gravitational pull of the Sun on the moon as well keeps things pretty well balanced, and B: centrifugal force, as the moon goes around the earth, it keeps trying to escape the force of the earth, but the centripital pull of the earth on the moon keeps it in a steady alignment at it's present state, like a pale full of water that one would swing in a circle, the water doesn't fall out when the pale if in the upside down state because of centrifugal force keeps it moving outward, but the pull of the pale inward by your arm keeps it coming inward, thus the two cancel and the water doesn't move. Another possibility, that I just remembered is that the moon might be falling around the earth. Much like a satellite. If an object reaches a certain speed, i believe it's 18,000 feet per second, then when the object falls, it is actually falling at the same rate that the earth curves. So the satellite falls with the curve, and the earth in turn, curves or falls away from the falling satellite, thus an orbit if formed.

Is it possible you took Astronomy?

Ok then...we'll my fact is right because they are people who know god is not real, they're called humans.

i have a question for the believers: if a person with normal intelligence get's shot in the head or hit by a car, and for some reason, like he/she develops blood clots, and needs to get part of his/her brain amputated, and for the rest of his/her life, he/she has a completely different personality(mentally retarded), would the part of his/her brain that was amputated go to heaven/hell?
-
naw, physics.
-
That's very good that you can openly say that you believe in God, and that goes for everyone who also openly said it. But I don't think God really worries if we don't go and congregate in a church, because his commandment, "keep the sabbath day holy" could mean that He is perfectly content with you remembering Him and worshiping and thinking about him (although this should be done everyday) particularly on sunday. Just as Jesus did when he was preaching. He preached wherever it was convienent, he didn't say, oops can't preach to you now because we're not in a building. So I think that as long as you know and accept and truly believe that Jesus is the only way to salvation, then you're in.
-
what in the world are you talking about? it would not go to either, the part of the brain that was amputated, or the whole brain for that matter, doesn't contain your soul. and it is your sould that leaves your body to go to either heaven or hell.
I have a question for all you non believers, why is it soo hard to believe in God? I mean, say when you die, it turns out that you were wrong and are condemned to hell (I certainly hope not) then what? it's too late to try to save yourself. It's not like you have to actually partake in what Jesus himself had to endure before and during his crucifixion. I'm just wondering.
-
When I die, I'm not going to hell. Why? Because there is no hell or heaven.
And would you seriously say "believing just in case it's true" is really believing?
