Yeah, there's still quite a bit of bickering between the races in the southeastern states. Although it's usually a private war ... meaning not a lot of people like to talk about it unless it's off to the side and amongst friends. Our state flag was changed but I'm not sure how long it was used for. I think it was changed to the battle flag after the civil war??? Maybe it was during... My personal opinion on it is a battle flag should not represent a state. But I could really care less.

Do you find BLACK WOMEN sexy or attractive?
-
It seems to me a lot of people still harbor warm feelings about the Confederacy. I personally think that was a really sad time in our nation's history and I've always wonder why some people would celebrate it and see it as a source of pride.(By the way, Arizona, when it was part of the New Mexico Territory, was the site of one Civil War battle. I learned that not too long ago.)Well, in our state the only problem with our flag is all the old people that move here don't know which side is up. We don't require license plates on the front of our cars, so a lot of people put on decorative plates and the Arizona flag is a popular one. Yet, on an almost daily basis I see some dumbass with the upside down flag on their car. I'd like to tell them if they don't know which way the flag goes then they should leave.

it's a common attitude in black people bro. They always refer back to their "brutal past" and "slavery". No matter how nice you are to them or how fair you try to treat them something always gets turned around on ya. Like they want reperations for slavery... LOL. You gonna give reperations to the blacks who owned slaves????? The black fore-fathers worked for the modern-day blacks freedom and right to live in the US. You should stopped living in the past & start living in the present.
-
Where I live nothing is really said about it. It goes on a lot and nobody gives it a second look.
-
around here, it's rarely seen but when it is they get a lot of bad looks & people talkin about them. It doesnt really bother me. I think if they want to then so be it. I just dont think it's right, but that's my opinion. If other people think otherwise, then it's none of my business. This is a free country. At least thats how I look at it anyway.
-
OK first off you dont get denied jobs for race. If that's the case you can sue. Besides now-a-days so much percentage of each company has to be blacks, regardless of who's better qualified for the job. If you dont get the job it's becuase someone else was better qualified. That's all there is to it.About the confederacy, I just got through watching the music video of "Bia Bia" the black rappers were flying confederate flags in their videos. It's not a racist flag. It's a symbol of confederacy. Why do you think everyone remembers the Alamo? They were greatly outnumbered & outgunned yet they held their ground like true warriors. Same happened in the south. We were out-numbered by a huge margin, didn't have the money like the north did, and did have the supplies like the north. Heck even the president was on the North's side. The only thing the south had going for them was they had better generals & were fighting a defensive battle most of the time. The South slaughtered the north as fas as numbers went. After the supplies were cut off & this & that we had to surrender. But the confederate flag represents the South's pride as fighters. It represents everything we stand for. I dont see anything wrong with it & continue to support it. You know something else ... blacks also fought in the confederacy. Did you know that? It's a double-standard, you say white people should stop profiling you. Why? Around here 70-85% percent of the jails are made up of minorities. That's a staggering number! I know if I say a black guy walk into my store wearing baggy clothes lookin like a gangster I'd watch him more close than the high-class black lawyer wearing a suit. I dont think it's race at all. I think it's presentation. Also I know of several black people saying they profile islam people becuase of the bombing. Hmmmm, I wonder why.I could go on & on about this, but I'm gettin tired of typing.

Nobody needs to get over the civil war. It's an important part of history.
-
Why are they ignorant? Why do they need to be shot? Because they dont share the same racist views as you do? Becuase they were born in the South & appreciate where they're from? Or just becuase you hate seeing a rebel flag with blacks becuase it totally breaks your point of it being racist? The more & more I see your post always referring to racist or the south or the rebel flag or slavery or this or that the more I think you yourself are a racist black female.
The blacks weren't forced. Most of them fought for their freedom. If they fought, their freedom would be rewarded afterwards. Where in the crap did you get they were forced? You cant force someone to fight. You can give them a gun & a suit, but you cant make them fight.
Need to get over the civil war? You need to get over the fact that your forefathers and mothers worked as slaves for my forefathers & mothers or anyone white forefathers. I think you get my point. You're saying why cant we get over the civil war well why cant you get over slavery? Like Amanda said, The civil war is an important part in american history & no one should get over it.
I think you need to stop being so racist and listen to what everyone is telling you. Just becuase we're white doesn't mean we hate you or we discriminate against you. Stop bein so stubborn & listen to others' views.
-
lol, diver is your offer to host an avatar website still good? I might send you a few through email if so.

You may be right though - I seem to have a problem with "certain" people disagreeing with me, especially the ones who have no idea what they're talking about. And I really cant stand to hear a black person say how unfairly they're being treated when they have every right & more than white people do today. I think y'all could get everything handed to yall & still you would find something to complain about.
-
How would you know what flag the KKK carries at their meetings? You seen movies, LOL? I know of a lot of black people that carry the flag. Only racist people would think the Confederate Flag is a "bad" flag. I'm tired of arguin with you. It's obviously pointless.but back on subject, NO I would not date a black woman. You think black women are the sexiest women on earth huh. I can only name a few pure-black women that are at the top of the charts, but I could go on all day about white women or even latino women. But I geuss that's your opinion. You seem to have a lot of them.
-
a'aight bitch, I'll agree with you then. White people are better than blacks. We're the superior race & we're not equal. Is that what you wanted to hear? I think you just made me become racist. No matter how many facts I give you, You wont listen. You cant make anyone fight. Thats all there is to it.About my mother, you're dang right about that. My dad would never marry a black woman. The only blacks in my or his house are maids.
-
bitch, A female canine animal, especially a dog. thouht this fourm needed some comidy....... ok i suck at comidy so laugh anyway. hahahahahaha

You know you don't have to explain yourself to irrational people. Ive read all the messages and it turned from a simple board about preferences into something off the topic. You are perfectly entitled to feel the way you do about black women. I worded it so to get honest answers from you guys (positive or negative). Even though I don't personallly know you, I hope this won't deter from black women if you ever came across one you'd want to date.
-
A few of you. I asked a simple question, "would you date a black girl?" It's either yes or no and state your reason. This board turned into some religious and racial shit. There really is nothing to argue about. And YOU specifically are entitled to say whatever you want, but I feel like YOU are instigating when they question really isnt even directed at you since you're not a "non-black GUY". That's all...
-
I would! BTW Bigots, live in the 21st century not the 17th.
-
It's time for Misty's Corner (otherwise known as Misty's Two Cents). I'm gonna get some flack for this. Oh well.Powerlifter - I agree with some of what you've said.Sexpot - I agree with some of what YOU said.Let's make somethings clear though. Number one: Anyone ever watched Amistand? People in Africa actually sold their own people into slavery. Please, let's also not forget that EVERY race in existence has been inslaved at one point in time. So no one has too much to complain about.Number two: Does discrimination still exist? Yeah, unfortunately. Is it as bad as it was 20 years ago? Hell, let's make it 70 years ago Uh uh. Believe me, you guys have it pretty easy compared to what people back then had it. Here's something for people to chew on: A white boss of a company is interviewing people for a job. A black person applies but the boss tells him that he's not experienced or doesn't have meet enough of the qualifications. Now automatically, most black people are ready to sue on grounds of racial discrimination. On the other hand a black boss could turn me down for the same reason yet *I'M not in a big hurry to take him off to court. Why is that? Why is that if a black man gets turned down for a job it's discrimination? But if a white man gets turned down it's no big deal? That seems like a double standard to me.Number three: The Confederate Flag is norhing more than flag. There is nothing saying the KKK can't use it. It's a freedom thing. Just like YOU have the freedom to express your opinion here. And you have the right to gather an assembly and exercise your right to free speech, so do they. Is it right? Who's to say? Do I care for the KKK? Absolutely not.Number Four: The Civil War was an awful dark time in American history. Agreed. But to learn from mistakes you must look at your past. It doesn't meant you have to relive and hold it above people's heads. It was an importat part of our history, we shouldn't forget it or what it was about or what it was for.Last: We've been through this before. I'm not scolding or harping. I just want people to see both sides of this. I don't own slaves. YOU aren't a slave anymore. We need to let the past rest. Reflect on it. Learn from it. But digging up old bones for us to choke on doesn't solve the problem. It only compounds it more and makes you sound bitter. I don't complain about the white race being in slavery. Why should anyone else complain about theirs being in slavery? Maybe that sounds so callous but it gets tiring to hear people hold something against me that I had nothing to do with and no control over.
-
The reason I got so mad was because you called me a dumbass & I wasn't having a very good day already. I definately dont take well to name-callin, and around here that's the easiest way to get yourself into a fight. But I lost my cool, & I apologize.About me bein racist I was tryin to be sarcastic. I was raised up on a big farm around a lot of black people. I grew up in nearly an all black school until I was about 12, then I moved to an all-white school. By the time I was 15 I was the boss of nearly 50 African Americans that worked in our fields and all of the maids that worked for my parents and grandparents. I geuss you can say I'm used to getting respect from black people, and as long as they respect me I'll respect them. If that's racist then I geuss I am a lil. I was referring to the people that go to KKK meetings & commit hate crimes, and I definately dont do that.I was raised in the middle-upper class surrounded buy lower to lower-middle class people. I was lucky. I had friends with people from all races and all "classes" of society. I was always popular (in fact I won Mr High School), and I tried to be nice to everyone. HOWEVER, if someone "under" me (whether black, white, asian, whatever) disrespected me I returned the favor. It's more of a class thing to me I guess than a race thing. If a rich black man/woman came around I'd respect them. I was just raised to respect your "elders" and demand respect from your "lowers". Maybe that will explain a lil more about me. I can't help it. It's just the way I was raised. So when I see certain black people trying to get the rebel flag taken out of the public or complaining while getting free money it really aggravates me. And it really aggravates me when ANY minority is steady getting given things & hollerin for equal rights. I dont care how you look at it. When you have to employ so many minorities & have to be a minority to get a scholarship - That's NOT Equal Rights! If you want equality then it should be straight across the board.HOWEVER, I'm through discussin this. Agree or Disagree. Everyone has opinions.Back to the main thread again. The thread starter was asked a question whether anyone would date a black women. I answered honestly & wasn't being racist in any way. Then you, sexpot, came in & turned it towards racism. Go back & look. I tried to keep it off of that until I was angered. But anywayz, I was always taught dating a black woman was wrong, so unless she's half and very famous - I wont date one.
-
thats not what I was talkin about. I said it's in the bible & I've been preached about it all the time. Then you came in & said thats what a racist would say & "you better watch it buddy" if I remember correctly. But anyway...
well no big deal. everyone has arguments & different opinions. I've already buried this argument, so if anyone has anything to say on the main topic, lol speak away.
