I am having issues everytime I try to wear a tampon. I am always afraid its going to get stuck or that it will just fall out. I think I might be wearing it wrong too because I don't think your suppossed to feel it everytime you walk. Tell me what do you wear a tampon or pad?? And what can I do to make it feel more comfortable?

Need help...tampons or pads???

if you can feel it when you walk, then it isn't in far enough. if you stick your finger in there, you'll feel your pelvic bone right near the entry. the tampon has to be farther back than that bone or you will feel it all the time. are you putting the first half of the applicator all the way in before pushing the plunger? that is essential.
try different positions for inserting it. i have found that standing with one leg up (i put my foot on the toilet, knee bent) works easiest for me.
they will not get stuck or fall out. the string is there for retrieval, and even if the string somehow came off, you can just reach in there with a few fingers and get it.
the only time it is a problem getting one out is at the end of your period when there is not much blood. the tampon stays pretty dry and it hurts a little when removing from being dry. if this happens, just put some lube on your finger and work a little up there.
i've actually stopped using tampons since i tried the Instead Softcup. i'm thinking it might be difficult for young teens to learn how to insert it...you have to be quite familiar with your body. but if you can, and it fits you ok, it is a terrific alternative.
keep in mind that it collects the blood in the cup, so when you take it out it can be messy. some people think it's gross, but it doesn't bother me in the least.

Umm.. I'm 14 and I just learned how to use a tampon. The first time I tried to take it out, I got totally freaked out because it wouldn't come out. I was SURE I did something wrong, but then my mom told me I couldn't mess up. Using tampons is actually really weird feeling (c'mon I'm 14) but you don't have to worry about leaking etc. I like them more

tampons defintiely. i learned how to use them when i was 14 and it was worth it. the first few times are scary but its so much cleaner and i don't like the whole idea of pads and sitting around in your period all day. it just skeeves me out. the reason you're having trouble is becusae it's nt in far enough. also, the first time i used a tampon i just followed the directions exactly from the box. that helped me a lot. good luck =)

for some reason, i cannot insert a tampon. i have tried everything, but it just doesnt go up. it hurts too much. i can only get it in about half way before the rigged edges. im a virgin too, what can i do to get it up there?

get some lube and put it on the tip of the tampon and at the entry to your vagina. if you're too embarrassed to buy lube, buy some Albolene. it is sold as makeup remover but it's a terrific lube and won't cause any problems "up there". albolenewalgreen's sells it.
