I'm starting to get annoyed with girls... lol. I'm 18 and i've never had a gf before and i'm guessing to some extent it's because of bs like this. At work for instance this girl was complementing me telling me I was cute and shit (this has happened at school and other places as well) than later i'll hear her talking about her bf to someone. What's up with that?
-
Ok... wth?
-
Isn't it like a guy telling a girl she looks good? He can say that without intending to have a relationship with her.
-
Ya, well if I tell a girl she's hot and I am interested in her i'll make it blatantly obvoius. Three seconds later I don't go to my friend and say, "Anyways this weekend me and my girfriend went to the beach," blah blah. That's TOTALLY different...
-
Ohhh... I see where your confused. It seems like they are flirting with me, because it usually goes beyond just an initial comment. It's when I hear them talking about a relationship indirectly that I get thrown totally off.

Grow up.

Grow up? screw u!

maybe you read far too much into a simple compliment. trust me my girlfriend is having a similiar problem. theres a nice guy at work who helps her out sometimes so she is obviously nice to the guy and compliments him from time to time. Lately the guy has been hitting on her and creeping her out, not to mention giving me something to chuckle about because I think he forget she's taken.
my point? just because a girl is being nice and paying you what you precieve as a provocatively flirtatious comment doesn't mean she necessarily likes you. Hell even married women flirt, it's what they do.
Just never take things too literally with them and try to stay conservative. It must be kinda frustrating for you but you'll get used to it.
-
Alrighty than... no gf for the rest of my life i spose - woohoo!!
-
Why? Do you just depend on random girls compliments towards you as the only way of getting a girlfriend?
-
Try not to get your happiness and approval from outside sources and you will find that girls are attracted to that. You win some you lose some and every situation (and person) is different. Generalizations are scary!!!!
-
Due to my extremely low self esteem
-
Only you can work on that. I wish you well. You are worth it.
-
In reply to:
You are worth it.
Or maybe not.
-
I know a girl and she has a boyfriend and she and I flirt and mess around (jokes and what not about hooking up), but she always knows that I know she has a boyfriend and it will never mean anything other than kind simple fun and friendship. Like it has been said: grow up.
-
Huh?
-
Or maybe he's not worth it.Better?
-
your a slut insearch

Everyone is "worth it" that's all I mean. Many people do innappropriate or hurtful things out of low self-esteem. The better we all feel, the better we will all be. Yeah, might sound cheesy but I believe that.
