I am British, 23 years old, and unfortunately I have never seen my penis glans due to Pinhole Phimosis.I am scheduled to visit a urologist for the first time on Friday but I was just wondering if those special creams which help by loosening the foreskin will work in a case as severe as mine?I am NOT having a circumcision, regardless of the what the urologist suggests, so creams are my only hope if I ever want to lead a fulfilling life (manual stretching cannot work due to the phimotic ring, alas).

Pinhole Phimosis be cured by creams?
-
I really doubt a cream will do it all. If it is that bad, then probably something needs to be cut. Since you are against a circumcision, then there are other surgical options where the thightness of the phimotic ring can be relieved. In any case, you really should seek a resolution such that you can fully retract.

Do you mean like a Dorsal Slit? I heard that it leaves the penis looking particularly ugly! I am against circumcision because it will be too painful. I am not willing to go through the psychological trauma of having my penis mutilated. I can't tell my parents about it, obviously, so I am just not prepared to go through with it alone! Also, can anyone tell me what is likely to happen when I visit the urologist? Obviously he will need to examine me flaccid but will I have to get an erection for part of the examination, so that he can make a proper diagnosis? This worries me. I don't think I could get a hard on in that instance.
-
Well I doubt it will be extremely painful but it's your own choice. Have you had sex yet?
-
I'd venture to say he hasen't. Could you imagine how painful it'd be. I think the only option for him is a dorsal slit (which leaves you looking like you got in a sword fight) or circumcision.
-
Of course I've never had sexual intercourse: it's impossible.
-
Well a retracted forskin is not required for sex.
-
Yank, how do you ejaculate or urinate? Does it hurt?
-
I don't think the term pinhole is quite that literal.
-
I have never had any serious problems ejaculating or urinating and it certainly doesn't hurt. Occasionally, when urinating it might spray but that is certainly not the norm. 95% of the time I have no problems whatsoever in that respect. Surprisingly, I don't have any 'smellable' problems with smegma build-up, either.I can function normally but unfortunately sexual intercourse would probably give me paraphimosis.
-
Just as an update, I visited the urologist today and he only bothered to examine me for a few seconds before he said I'll have to have a circumcision. The fool didn't attempt to inform me of any alternatives like a partial circumcision or a dorsal slit. He said he will just make me an appointment for "half-day surgery" for sometime in March. I haven't decided if I'll bother turning up to the operation yet. Is it true that a circumcised penis is significantly more sensitive than one with foreskin? Will it affect the way I walk or sit?
-
Perhaps you should try and get a second opinion. But if your phimosis is as bad as you say, then perhaps a circumcision is your best option. When they say that a circumcised penis is more sensitive, that's not quite accurate. The glans will be very sensitive after surgery, because it is now permanantly exposed and in contact with clothing and other parts of your body. However, as the glans drys out, that sensitivity should be reduced significantly. How long that takes, I don't know.
-
Yes it will be very sensative once the surgary is over but like said above after some "dry out time" you should be fine.I recomend the operation but defanitly get at least 3 opinions.Im shure you be happy with your self after the glands dry out.(i think girls seem to like circumcized penis'es more)Thast just from what i hear**

"Like the look" here in the US... He is British which would put him the odd man out.

Would anyone recommend using this 'instrument' instead of circumcision?http://www.glansie.com/index.html
-
It seems like your last option!

Hey, Yankee, cancel that circ. All that an urologist knows is to cut. That's his profession and that's how he makes money. Obviously he wouldn't advise something as simple as stretching...it would ruin his life! An unretractable foreskin, even one with "pinhole" tightness, can be rather easily stretched using only your fingers as tools. Here's how: Pull out on your foreskin with your fingers, away from your body, stretching firmly but gently to the point of discomfort, but not beyond. Attempt to stretch the opening, as though you were going to open a plastic sack or a pillow case. Hold the stretch for up to five minutes. Repeat the exercise several times each day. After the opening enlarges enough so that you can insert a finger or two, stretch the foreskin out, away from your body, as before, and also stretch the opening out, at right angles to your penis ... all similar to the exercise pictured here: http://www.foreskin.org/46-33-03.jpg. Individual instruction may also be found at this site: http://www.network54.com/Forum/244184Betamethasone cream may be applied in a thin smear, but it is not required to successfully stretch the foreskin. It tends to thin the skin, which may facilitate the process of stretching, but much more important is the daily stretching excercises, even if the cream is used. Betamethasone is not an over the counter drug, so a prescription is necessary. Korydon

You don't understand buddy! The phimotic ring can't be streched! I repeat!
-
On the contrary, Joe. There are many men who have successfully stretched the opening of the foreskin to permit full and normal retraction. I can put you in contact with them. Indeed, ALL intact men who can retract have weathered the process. This forum is only one of many at which this "problem" is addressed. As suggested, take a look at http://www.network54.com/Forum/244184, as one instance of an enlightened point of view.
It's true that the presence of diseased tissue may present circumstances which won't respond to stretching, but Yankee has not indicated that his foreskin is diseased.
The gradual process of foreskin retraction in young men should be encouraged early in life. Unfortunately, shame prevents many parents and doctors from seeing that this aspect of growth is attended to, naturally, by the child. The result is that many boys become men completely unaware that the foreskin should ideally retract. The consequence is that millions of men live their entire lives being unretractable. Though their sex lives are largely "normal", they could be better served by having a retractable foreskin.
The idea that cutting off the foreskin is the answer to unretractability is an extreme reaction to the problem. It's akin to pulling out a fingernail because it was injured or split.

I wasn't implying rthat. But, the phimotic ring can't be streched. The of it as closing a tight fist and trying to pull it open with one finger. It wont happen.
