Well, I told my dad about my depression and all. He asked if I wanted to see a pyschatrist, and I said yes. So now I'm getting an apt. set up next week (Don't know when I will go in) and I want to know what to expect. What do I say? What will they ask? Will I be put on prescription drugs? Will I be refered somewhere else? What will I feel like? Will this really help? I just got all these questions and I'm getting paranoid about it. Start thinking nothing is wrong. Then I think about the time I've tryed to die. Do I talk about those? I mean. Im just so confused. Is it normal to feel like this?

Getting help...

You tell him or her everything that's been on your mind. Don't hold back. They don't judge you, they're their to help you. You'll feel so much better afterwards. Plus nobody will know what you'll tell him/her...not even your parents.

Think they will want me to go on home school? I mean school seems to piss me off alot and at times depress me. Its what started it all to. Outside of school, like on the weekend. I'm fine in public. I dont get to stressed driving. But going and coming really pisses me off and what makes me want to like attack people. Even when I was with my mom (she driving) I was pissed.

I doubt home schooling would be the answer.

I think it might be tho. If I got on it, I could graduate early and get this fucked thing (HS) out of my life.

I do have another question. My parents will be talking with someone monday and then my apt will be set up. How long until I go in? I mean, is it like a regular doctor? Take like 2-3 weeks? Will it be like my podatrist? That is like 4 weeks usually, or will be in like a few days?

if they went to see a psychiatrist then it will be when he has an open appointment that you can take. If you need a referal it might take longer.

You just tell the doctor everything you have just said. Say whatever you've been feeling and what's been on your mind. The doctor may very well give you some antidepressants. It usually takes a few weeks for them to work and they help a lot for some people. My dad and I have both benefited by antidepressants. You'll probably be asked to follow up in a few weeks. If the doctor gives you some medication that doesn't work, he or she may give you something else. Also, it is very helpful for many people to have a counselor to meet with on a regular basis, in addition to the psychiatrist. Don't worry too much. You'll be fine.
