OK this is starting to become a problem now. I'm 17 years old and weight 9 stone exactly. All my other friends that are the same age weight 10 - 11 stone that's a max of 26 pounds heavier than i am. I try and eat alot but just get bloated and fatter, so then i don't eat alot and i get thin again. I don't really lift weights or anything to get more muscle but i do alot of manual work being a student plumber. Can someone advise me on dietry plans for 17 year olds please i need some help.

You need to do some sports. Weight training in particular if you want to gain weight. Becoming and being a plumber isn't going to build much muscle, even though it is hard work. Buying a pair of adjustable dumbells is best if you don't want to use a gym (this is what I do), as they can be used for alot of things. If you're interested and need more help for what kind of exercises to do, just ask. There's alot of people here (many know far more about weightlifting that I do as I just recently started doing lifting for more serious results). Here's the first routine I followed (take away some of the exercises though that can't be done by dumbells in my case) http://www.afraidtoask.com/forums/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=fitness&Number=127919&fpart=&PHPSESSID= if you scroll down far enough you'll see a routine made by Powerlifter. As far as diet goes, increase the amount of protein you consume daily (try not to increase fats too much, but instead eat more of leaner meats or use supplements). Increasing protein will only give results if you give your body a reason to use that surplus protein. Although I've never tried this, maybe try eating a weightgainers supplement meal replacement or something like that. I've been thinking of taking one since I have trouble eating a good breakfast and am going to be crazy busy doing things that could wear me down, a couple months from now. You should also be eating at least three good meals a day, make yourself eat if you seem to be starving yourself.Try browsing through some of the older threads, I know there's some good ones on gaining weight and building muscle. You're going to have to do something more than change your diet to get results from this though. Just ask if you have more questions

On that same link I gave you, there's another link in one of the posts. It goes to a site that contains information on various exercises for muscle groups, and is organized in an awesome way when you're looking for exercises that target specific muscles. There's also that thread just under forum rules that has a link to another site from helms. You should probably do some exercises for your lower body, even if it's not going to be as much as your upper body. My legs get worked far more than my upper body when I fence and run, but I still do weight exercises for legs.
