My boyfriend and I have been together exclusively for about 7 months. I have not been with anyone else for about 15 months. Last week he went to the doctor claiming he had a urinary tract infection...I think he probably has chlamydia. So, everything I have read says contraction is 1-3 weeks. He has tried to reassure me by telling me he has not been with anyone, and that he must have a common urinary tract infection. Is it safe to say he has cheated? Is there any possible explaination other than he has cheated?

Chlamydia

Why would you assume he has an std just because he has a UTI? Why are you suspicious in the first place?

You're right I shouldn't be suspicious, especially since he has sworn to faithfullness. On the other hand, if it is chlamydia/gonnorhea then he is cheating--and was probably exposed to it 1-3 weeks ago. He just thinks that he could have been walking around with the disease for months and months, and that just isn't possible. This will devastate me...

you didn't answer my question... Why would you gather he has an std from a urinary tract infection???And yeah, actually, there are lots of stds that are symptomless that you can carry for a long time without knowing it...

He was treated with the Z-pac last week. That's the drug of choice for the disease, chlamydia. I don't trust him because when I met him he was cheating on his girlfriend with me, and has been acting kind of strange lately anyway. He insists he isn't cheating (and gets angry that I don't believe him), but my heart says otherwise. Besides who admits to cheating when confronted? I would have to catch him red handed. So now I must go be seen. Everything I have read points to him cheating, but I will have to hear it from MY doctor before I believe it to be true.

yeah, i'm sorry to say it, but if he was cheating on his ex gf with you than it's very possible that he can do it to you as well. you should get checked and make sure you're okay.

I thin u should be more worried about getting ur check up on it. Beucase it can cause infertility which chlamydia can be cured(or helped) from causing this if u stop it at its early stage. However if u get chlamydia four times ur out...u have absoluely no chance of childbearing.

4 times you're out....where did you get that from?
