Hey guys,I'm a 23 yr old male from around Boston, MA. Question. My situation is that two weekends ago, I had unprotected sex during a one-night stand with a girl on a Saturday. That Thursday afterward, I had protected sex with another girl. Before these two girls I had been sex-free for about three months. Almost immediately after my night with the second girl, I noticed pimples developing on the crotch area, not on my penis, but on the pubic area above and forming a circle around the top of the shaft. In total I have about seven or eight pimples. The second girl was on top, so I hope that the pimples are just ingrown hairs from that. I shave, but I don't shave too short. I am hoping for the most optimistic outcome, but I'm nervous that these pimples might be a symptom of something more serious (mostly b/c I'm nervous about the unprotected sex from a week before).Could they just be pimples? If not, how long would it take some STDs that include pimples as a symptom to manifest? Is five days too soon?

Pimples after sex

Usually if you are going to get symptoms from an std they will make themselves known within two weeks, so if you do have an std they symptoms may very well be legitimate. What do the pimples look like? Do they hurt? Itch? Filled with anything? Did you read anything on here about molluscum?

The pimples look like normal pimples, filled with a white oily substance. I drained one to see what they were filled with, but they are relatively not painful, (only to the touch. They do not itch at all. Considering it has only been four days since they appeared, I remain optimistic. I have had ingrown hairs before as these pimples resemble them, but I've never recalled having so many at once. I am thinking (desperately hoping) that they were caused by friction of her being on top?
I haven't read anything on molluscum but I imagine I will now. thanks for the speedy reply -
I have looked pretty extensively at what Molluscum normally looks like and I can say somewhat conclusively that it isn't molluscum (Thank you google image search!) I think so because these pimples aren't as bulbous or thick as molluscum seems to be. Also, molluscum seems to not irritate the surrounding skin and remain somewhat isolated, while my pimples are irritating the local skin around the bumps much like normal pimples would.

Maybe it's just ingrown hairs or something. Are they sporadic or in little clusters? Is there pus in them, or are they more like sores? I doubt it's herpes, but I have no idea what your sores look like.

Oh, and I had molluscum a while back. (I caught it from my female roommate! Nothing sexual!) and had it on my leg and inner thigh area. Mine looked like some of the pictures, but totally different than others. Some look bulbous like you described, but some of mine were flat with a little dent in the middle, and some looked like regular pimples or ingrown hairs. The way I was able to tell is if I picked them, a very very hard center came out and then the sore would bleed pretty bad, way worse than a regular pimple.

They are in a little cluster around the area aprox. 5 cm above the shaft of my guy, going from left to right laterally across the pubic bone region. There is one, however, isolated one about an inch above the others; it is the one I popped, and was filled with a small amount of milky pus. But the rest are in a small clustered line from left to right. This is confusing because they occurred exactly in the area where the most pressure/friction occurs during girl-on-top. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the ingrown hair diagnosis. Of course, we can not say definitively because the bumps are not up for inspection in this forum . But I am not a doctor, and they could possibly be a molluscum outbreak.
I would guess at this point all I can do is wait and see. Thank you for the replies. If these bumps are still around next weekend, I imagine this forum will hear from me again, either before or after the doctor's visit! :open\_mouth:!!!
Moral of story: WRAP UP! Even if you're clean, causes more mental anguish than anyone wants! -
If it's molluscum, it'll still be there in a week. They stick around for a very long time unless the centers are removed. Did you get the info on what Molluscum really is? Most of the time people are clueless. It's a poxvirus, not a wart or a herpe or sore, etc. And it's most common among children. It's a skin to skin contact thing - you can also get it from towels, pools, etc. The only reason it's even listed as an STD is because adults tend to pass it because the most skin to skin contact occurs during sex. It's most common on the face, trunk, groin and upper thighs.
