hey guys, well this shit is embarrassing to talk about but anyways here i go. i have really small bumps on the shaft of my cock near the base, and i thought it was like zits or something because i would try to pop them and white shit would come out, sorta like puss, but then it would grow into like a red pimple after. i looked it up on here and im pretty sure it is sebaceous glands but there not as big as that dudes in the picture. is there anything i can do to reduce size of the bumps? and why is white shit coming out if i pop them and how can i get rid of the red zit type thing it grows into quickly, should i use acne cream or what? and please dont say go to a doctor cuz i aint pullin my cock out for my MALE doctor to inspect.

Sebaceous glands

Try not to worry about being embarrassed, embarrassing questions is what this site is for. The white stuff that came out is sebum, a sort of natural moisturising cream that is what sebaceous glands make, to discharge it invisibly on the skin.
The red pimple was because the gland got infected - when you popped it, bacteria got in from your hands or skin, and started multiplying inside. Ordinary zits on your face are infected sebaceous glands too. The best thing to avoid it on your penis is not to pop the sebaceous glands, just accept them as normal.

Just to add to what ineligible said, if you do want to "pop" them (and they don't really reduce in size, from personal experience), use an antiseptic cream or a wipe to clean it (note: do NOT use an antiseptic wipe on the head of the penis or it will feel like it's on fire lol). Good personal hygiene is the only thing I've found that keeps the back (but still a little visible), so plenty of soap and warm water will/may help. A bath instead of a shower can also be good as it will help open the pores more when cleaning (if you use a cold flannel or throw cold water on it after to close the pores, will also help to reduce the chance of possible infections).

I think you're trying to find a solution to a 'problem' that isn't a problem to begin with Sebaceous glands are a normal part of the penis. Almost all guys past puberty have them on the base of their penis. They don't have anything to do with hygiene. Their purpose is to help provide a little bit of lubrication during sex, and to release pheremones, or sexual odors attractive to the opposite sex. The bumps are also reported to be stimulating to the vaginal opening. Most guys near the end of puberty who start to get these bumps are concerned about them or just hate them and want them to go away. They weren't there before, and they liked the way their penis looked better without them. But once you understand what they are, what they are for, and that all adult penises have them, you'll get used to them. You're going to have to get used to them, because they will be with you the rest of your life! So don't pop them or try washing them away. Just leave them alone! BTW, its also normal for them to get infected from time to time during puberty, in which case it will temporarily turn into a zit. If that happens, try to avoid popping them as it could lead to scarring. It will get better by itself.
