Well, today it is Monday. I smoked a bunch of pot on Friday, so much that like I could barely take anymore. That same day it was raining hard as fuck and so I got somewhat a cold or something. I felt real bad today so I went to the doctor. Bla bla bla bla...anyways, after all this shit I did, the main problem was that I took a blood test. He said he was gonna check shit like my blood sugar, calcium..bla bla bla. Now, what I want to know is that even though he ISN'T looking for THC or whatever, can he find it easily?? Like he's doesn't have a clue I smoke, so he wouldn't check for THC, but if he's checking for the other shit, could he somehow spot the THC? From that blood taken from my arm?? I need serious help here..

Help With Blood Test

Why would you smoke like that? That is just a huge waste. Smoke a little, wait awhile, and smoke a little more if its nessecary. Thats it. It could show up in blood, but I dont think most doctors will say that its the main problem. He may comment on your smoking saying something like "Maybe you shouldn't smoke for awhile" (While your cold gets better) But, thats just from what I've heard. But you should really change your smoking ways.

No no no, I'm saying that the main problem was not how I got the cold, but how I took a blood test after I smoked.. and also, it wasn't my stash. It belonged a very good friend who pretty much had wanted pay me back for some shit I did for him way back when, so at his house we just toked as much as we wanted, cause he said.."Now or Never" :P, but well anyways...I didn't really know he could find that in my blood without having the thought of looking for it...wow..

Also, I need to ask something else. Mainly I want more help with the first thing I said, I need to be REALLY sure that even though a minor clinic-craphouse working doctor who ISN'T looking for THC, can still find it somewhere in there without trying to look for it. Also, my girlfriend is really worried, and she wants to come along on the trip. She does not know I smoke, and I dont want her knowing. If the doctor says something, can I maybe say that I inhaled that shit like secondhand? By maybe being around my friends while they smoked? :/

It's not at all likely that the doctor will find out about the THC through teh blood test. The doctor doesn't analyse the blood directlt - he sends it to a pathology lab. The pathology lab analyses for what they are paid to analyse for. They probably won't notice the THC, because it won't show up on tests for calcium or blood sugar. Even if they did, they're not going to give the doctor results he hasn't paid for.Of course, the doctor may have noticed the general smell of weed, and the bong sticking out of your pocket.

I finished the blood test a week ago. I didn't get to read the answers you guys gave, but thanks for them anyways. In all, the results were great, I'm in great shape, everything checks out fine, and no, he did not find the THC. So yeah, guess he does have to do a totally different thing to find the THC, but well, thanks again. In all, I left with a happy girlfriend, and a happy heart.

for futher reference. the only time a dr. will do a toxicology-report is if you over-dose, die, or if you make a claim that someone could have slipped you something. their might be other instances but they rearly do it if you're just going to the dr for a cold or some other minor thing the doc may need to draw blood for. the doc wouldn't even do it if your a minor and your parents requested one. due to the fact for every substance they have to look for raises the price and the insurance companies want to only pay for the things that are absolutely necessary and also they sell otc drug test.

When I was smoking weed, I took many blood tests because I had a thyroid gland problem. It was creating enough or something. I took about 10 blood tests, and the doctor never said anything about smoking pot to me. Perhaps they don't check if they arn't looking for it.
