Okay, I'm gonna share something here and people are gonna not understand or misunderstand, and Kat-Man's gonna come on and tell me I'm gay...nonetheless, here it goes...

I've suffered from a sexual addiction for about 20 years now. My acting out was with pornography and masturbation. If you know anything about sexual addiction, you'll know that it centers a lot around a misguided, misplaced, often inappropriate search for intimacy. So, a couple of years ago when I got pro-active and started sobriety, I was no longer numbing myself and no longer meeting intimacy needs through acting out. Things became very confusing for me on a lot of different levels. Then I noticed something strange and interesting. Everytime I hugged someone - not a little polite hug, but a real deep-felt hug - my penis responded and I would almost get an erection. This happened with girls and guys. I worried at first until I realized what was happening:

Before, I felt intimacy from acting on the addiction.
Obviously my penis responded to pornography and masturbation.
My penis became conditioned to respond to intimacy - even if it was false intimacy.
When I began feeling real, appropriate intimacy (not just romantic, but platonic as well), my penis was conditioned to respond to that.

Must...retrain...Dick...

physical human contact is a powerful thing. It's warm and reassuring. It is as asexual as it can be sexual.I make about the same amount of incidental contact with my male friends as with my female friends (admittedly with fewer bruises on the females )

Honestly man there's no problem with this, I get it all the time.
