okay, here's the story. A few months ago i got completely fucked up drinking some pale ale. I threw up several times and did a lot of things which i regret. Now, i can't drink beer anymore! I'll have like half a bottle and throw up! Has this happened to anyone? It's so annoying, i have to drink spirits and stuff now. As you can probably imagine, it leads to some pretty embarassing situations (being at a party and throwing up after 1 beer...i was lucky though, no one heard me in the bathroom). It's not the alcohol i can't take, i'm fine drinking other stuff, just the taste and smell of beer makes me feel sick now! Ever happen to anyone? Does it go away? Thanks

Beer

sounds pyschological more then physical.

I agree with blackmanoncampus. It seems more psychological. You can't handle it for more mental reasons than physical.

Been there, done that. I got toasted after drinking alot of Vodka one night (and unlike you, I can't remember a damn thing). For a while I couldn't really handle drinking very much of the stuff, and I'm pretty sure it's all just pyschological (like everyone is saying). You probably just got so wasted that in your mind you don't want to get that bad again, so therefore you feel sick everytime you drink it. It'll probably pass, just remember, don't over do it anymore ^_^

I had a bad experience with vodka. I cannot touch that crap now...unless it is Black Vodka.

~Yep. I remember drinking half a bottle of whisky one night, and then nothing but, throwing up once, and waking up wearing someone elses clothes! I have never been able to drink whisky again, just the smell of it makes me heave!

I've only been revolted from beer afte a night of very hard beer drinking and smoking. The next morning beer smells disgusting on your breath and feels really rotten in the guts. If you live in the U.S., I hope you are at least 21yrs old.LOL

I've had that with a lot of spirits but you VERY rarely hear people going off beer. It's such a mild taste that usually it doesn't involve such a response.I've been legless of beer numerous times and never had it, this is why beer's so good, because you can come back to it.I'm not calling you a liar or wrong at all, I'm just quite surprised. How early on in your beer drinking life was this?

maybe it's kinda like when u have a really bad flu and w/e u ate jus tastes different and nasty and jus comes right bak up and then when u get over the flu u dont even wanna touch the foods that made u vomit when u were sick cuz it reminds u of it. Idk jus a theory.
