help lose weight? I'll admit, I'm a lazy guy, and I dont like exercising because theres nothing else to do if I exercise (i cant do my homework, or play games, and I dont like watching tv or listening to music)anyways, I was wondering if just not eating junk food but not exercising would help to lose some weight because if not, I'll just go back to my regular eating habits cause I dont really like turning my friends down everytime they want to go to the mall to eat

Will cutting down on junk food but not exercising

Okay, cutting out junk food (chips, candy, sodas, ect.) will help you lose some weight, but to actually lose more than a few pounds you need to add some type of exercise into your daily life, like walking. Instead of turning your friends down to go to the mall, go and walk around. You don't have to eat junk food while you're there, you can eat healthier food like a salad. Just walk if you don't want to lift weights or anything, go take a walk in a park or another place. So yeah, cutting out junk food will help a little, but not a lot because you do need some type of exercise into your lifestlye. I myself am trying to lose weight, and yeah, I'll admit I'm lazy too, but I am trying. I know you can do it, good luck ^_^

so, you dont like exercising. heres my diet sudgestions then for exercising. first, when eating, try the rule of thirds, 1/3 of your plate should be carbs, 1/3 vegies, and 1/3 protien. if you load up on protien and nothing else, you body cant absorb it and it will turn into a fat. also, in cutting down your junk food, dont let yourself have a full thing of anything. if you go to the frig and pull out a pop, pour half of it down the sink BEFORE you start drinking it. if you have a candy bar, put half of it in a bag, and hide it in your closet for later. same with chips, throw half the bag away BEFORE you start to eat it. you will be amazed at how effective this is (though not easy on the check book)as for exercising. a lot of us dont like to do it, but try this out. like said before, walking is a great way to burn calories, but if you need a little something more, the most effective way to burn the fat while at home or something is to clean the house. studies show that people who clean their own homes are more healthy than those who have maids or let someone else do it. start by picking up your room. then move on to the next room. sounds terrible, but your accomplishing two things at once, cleaning and exercising. if that doesnt work, try something more radical. through the batteries out of your remote for the TV, this will either cause you to get up and turn the channel, or to walk over to your cabinet to get more batteries. either way makes you move. try using this technique with other ideas. putting your toothpaste in the bedroom, but your toothbrush in the kitchen, ect. anything to make you move. good luck, and if you need any more ideas, just pm me.

Cutting down on junk food would indeed help you lose some weight, however it takes efforts to really build a healthy body. If you are not fond of doing exercise, try to see if activities, like enjoying the mountains or bikeriding would interest you, if you think that's an appealing hobbies, hiking can help you trim down some fats, and that's healthy for the heart too!Another healthy habit is developing some taste on fruits and vegetables, it helps you improve your metabolism and therefore helps you lead a healthy life. I have a friend who eats a lot for dinner, like one big plate of pasta, with greasy sauce and meat, BUT she's very slim. Why? Because she does eat a lot of vegetable, she got a perfect metabolism...I am not saying that it could be the same for you, but as my greatgran always said, vegetables extends your life

While the exercise will help more, it's better to start somewhere than to not start at all. Maybe if you give up the junk food you'll have more energy to do the exercises. Good luck!

From my personal experiences I recently lost 40 pounds and most of that was just cutting back on eating crap for 2 months. When i stopped eating mounds of candy and other treats the pounds just dripped off. I calculated that i was eating about 7000 calories a day in junk food. I would have fast food 2 to 3 times a day with a million snacks in between. I still eat some junk food and fast food is even still a prioty meal, but the portions and number of times i ate got smaller and the pounds went bye bye. I started at a little over 200 and now i'm 162, my goal is to be 150 by august.Remember excercising doesn't hurt, its just a bitch to start. It took me so long to actually start working out, cuz even if you do once u make excuses for yourself not to anymore. about 3 weeks ago i finally got a gym membership and now its one of my favorite places to go. I work out hard, but it feels very rewarding and gives me alot more energy to work out even more later. This is a total turn around for me since i used to be a fat lazy slob.
