I posted this in a different place but with no response so I am posting here,I am just wondering if there is a difference between a medical and a physical?

Medical or physical

Never heard the term medical before and don't know what it is unless it's a term for an exam when you're sick. In that case there sure is a difference. A physical exam is a preventive one to be sure there's nothing wrong with you before something could happen--like if you had a heart problem you shouldn't be involved in strenuous sports, etc.
