I have played football for four years as an offensive/defensive lineman. I am only 5'8" and I weigh 228 lbs. I have gone on creatine/protein shakes to build up muscle. i work out 3 days a week and run 2 days a week. I have gone on a low carb high protein diet and have dropped all unhealthy foods. I have been on this for 3 months and I have only noticed minimal fat loss. I work my butt off when I run and workout. What is preventing me from losing more fat?

Yeah i am sure I am fat. You can see it in my legs and my gut. It just amazes me that it is going away at a miniscule rate.

Could it be in your genes? I know that a lot of people's genes prevent them from actually getting trim, but that is determined by how your other family members are. Maybe you can find out if that's your case or not.

nope. But I am startiing to lose alot of fat now, so I guess I needed more time. I now run sprints, do situps, then run 2-3 miles in one day. SO it is working now.
