I see your point of view, but I view virginity as penile penetration. Your interpretation has validity at a different (perhaps religeous) level.

Okay, let's take this one step at a time: In reply to: but we are born in different decade, and in a far different culture. How do you know when or where I was born? In reply to: Jeez, how could you say you are pure and innocent if you are collecting porns and masturbate? I never said I collected porn. I said I was addicted to it. Please don't put words in my mouth. This addiction is a very serious thing and has brought a lot of pain to me. It is not just some pervert holing up and whacking off. Addictions are debilitating. I was trying to communicate that. I would appreciate you rescpect for what I've dealt with.I judge that you have some real emotional charge around masturbation that doesn't allow you to discuss it or see it like others do. Just a judgment. IF this is the case, I would advise that you be honest about that charge. It would make the discussion go a lot smoother. In reply to: if you look at some deeper meaning of being a virgin, please be open minded. Please share with us what that deeper meaning of being a virgin is to you. That might help us be open minded. At the same time, maybe you could work at being open-minded yourself and hear what we are saying. There is a dictionary definition of virginity. There is also an operational definition that with most people would include gay sex. But you can't argue a point by making words mean whatever you want them to mean. I could argue that my laptop is a banana until I'm blue in the face. But there are clear definitions of laptop and banana. And if I'm the only one who thinks it is a banana - against clear evidence submitted to me to the contrary - I might want to look at how I'm thinking. In reply to: Before thinking that I am ignorant, try to look at some logic. yeah...about that logic...See paragraph above.

I can understand your point of view, but I don't agree with it. I masturbate and I concider myself to be a virgin because I have never known a man in a sexual way. I don't look at pornography, and I havn't ever actually seen a man fully unclothed (close I've ever been was a guy in pj bottoms with no shirt). So what, I occasionally think a dirty thought, it's normal and just because I think it doesn't mean I'm going to act on it. And masturbation doesn't make me any less a virgin now than the day I was born.

i agree with Katie. the definition of a virgin is: A person who has not experienced sexual intercourse. that is according to dictionary.comSo if that is the meaning than anyone who has not had any form of sexual intercourse is a virgin. No gray areas to be discussed b/c masturbation in not sexual intercourse.for if you look up sexual intercourse it means: 2 : intercourse involving genital contact between individuals other than penetration of the vagina by the penis. once again this is from dictionary.comIt requires two people or more for sexual intercourse. So if you are by yourself, you are still a virgin. And I am done!

WOW! I always thought it was cut and dry. Not really wanting to bring up the bad stuff, but here goes anyway. But if it is genetal contatct...does that mean rape too? I always thought your virginity was only lost when you GAVE it up, not when it was STOLEN from you.? but then that is the purity of....OUCH! now Im thinking...and the room is filling with smoke...damn it, there goes the smoke detectors...gotta go
-
i have had intercourse, blow jobs, hand jobs, group sex, etc. etc. etc..
I'm not a virgin but I am inocent -
In reply to: I'm not a virgin but I am inocent uh huh....oh me too nods head vigorously
-
hahahaha....teasers.
-
If you are raped, you are no longer a virgin.
-
yep, sad but true.
-
I thought only women were virgins and guys were just boys until they got with a women and then she made a man out of him???? (and yes i know that it takes more than sex to be a man.) i just thought that a guys first time was a sort of "right-of -passage" , kinda like a step towards find yourself on your way to being an adult? not that i believe its bad to be one...... it's just i was always proud that i wasn't one... i don't know now, should i be ashamed?

In reply to: If you are raped, you are no longer a virgin *thanks sdp for happy thoughts
-
Ya, thanks sdp!
Another one is hijacked...This poor guy...still needs girl to get with...Wasn't that the point in the first place? I have a friend(sorta, cousins bro inlaw) who is over 40 and still a virgin...was a little shocking at 1st, but he is also gay. Wonderful to talk to, joke with, hang around, aside from the gay part. I'd date him!!
I appriciate his honesty! -
Before I proceed with my post, allow me first to apologize if I offended you in anyway in what I have said in my previous post. First of all, I want to tell you that I do not consider your addiction to porn as some kind of a joke or a laughing matter, and no, I did'nt think you're a pervert...I am far from saying that. I am not judging you, and I will never think that people that masturbates are bad or anything like that. Not because I suggested that you are not a virgin because you masturbated did I think that you are immoral for doing so, that's not my point. My point is that, The word 'virgin' is so sacred, it describes of someone that's so innocent, someone that does'nt know anything about physical lust, someone that never experience sex in anyway and never experienced orgasm. There's someone here that suggests that the women that masturbates but never had sex is still a virgin like she is when she was born. In my point of view, because she already explored herself, and probably experienced orgasm, she is no longer as innocent as a baby. I know dictionaries defines virgin as everyone else here would accept, but the word 'virgin' simply says that you must be 'unexplored' to say that you are. Now with my saying that, once again, please don't think that I am judging you in a negative way just because you masturbate. I want to clarify that I am not that narrow-minded. I am only saying that, because you have experienced that sexual pleasure by means of masturbation, I do not think you are innocent or unexplored, or naive like a virgin. As for your question on how do I know when and where you were born, I don't. I just assumed we're born in different decade because, as you mentioned your age, you are obviously more than 2 decades older than me...and judging by the way you present your case, I could say you have grown up in a culture different from mine...you never had sex with girls because you're a good christian boy, so you did have to masturbate. In the culture I know, people do what they want regardless of their religious affiliation.
