I don't have my facial hair yet and its beginning to bother me(kinda want a beard). I just turned 17, my pubic hair is sparse and doesn't cover a lot of area but it's curly, I'm around 6'1, that should give some info about my puberty status.

Am I through with puberty yet?
-
Hi thereNo of us can really say if you are finishe puberty yet - but by the sounds of it you still have a little to go.All guys are different when puberty starts and finish - some are early and some are late. Dont be to concerend about the hair thing either - that all depends on gene's passed down from parents. Some guys dont get alot of facial hair at all but others need to start shaving at 13 or so - it all depends.Just sit back and enjoy the ride you are currently on.
-
Welcome to A2A, Saywhat. It's also possible that genetically you are not very hairy. Some people don't develop much facial hair until quite late.
-
What the other posters said is correct. Look at the men in your family how hairy are they.
Most likely you simply aren't done with puberty yet. However if you are it's not that uncommon to have a small amount of facial and pubic hair. I for one thank god and genetics everyday that I only have to shave about once a week, even that's to much but at least it's still not a "have to" thing.
As for being light in the pubic hair region, as I am, look at this way, it's less hair to get in the way of good BJ.
The only down side is once I did try to grow a bit of a beard and didn't shave for a month. It didn't work it was pretty pathetic.
-
Only thing is that the others in my family grow bushy facial hair fairly easily, my older brother and dad shave daily. I only mentioned pubic hair cause I think it has something to do with measuring puberty...and not only do I not have a lot, but it doesn't cover the whole area its supposed to, if you know what I mean(none on the thighs and what not).
-
Pubic hair generally starts off just being above the genitalia, and it extends upwards and a bit further outwards later.Hair can keep growing very late in puberty. Chest hair often doesn't come in until the 20s.

Mine was mostly just peach fuzz on upper lip, although it started growing more at 20/21

I looked on thiis site's description of the stages of puberty, and I seem to only be at stage 3 or so. That can't be normal for 17. Is there anything I can do besides steroids?
-
If you're at stage 3 there's probably nothing wrong, it's just a bit slow for you, and you just have to wait.

I feel like my weight is part of the problem, I read some articles that said that fat produces estrogen or something. I've been trying to lose weight anyway, but part of the problem is that testosterone helps you lose weight - but if you have weight you don't have as much functional testosterone - its a vicious cycle.
-
Fat tends to dilute the testosterone, and if you lose weight it will release more into the bloodstream. But you are right - people with low testosterone tend to put on weight.
-
I don't know how to lower my estro levels enough to help my diet and exercise work. I think broccoli can help out with that. Any ideas?
-
Exersizing a meager 20 minutes A day 5 times a day is good enough to have drastic effects on testosterone levels.

Yeah, I'm interested too.
