There are adult bisexuals all over the place. But it's a difficult lifestyle to maintain (if you settle down with one person, they'll be either one gender or the other).
From some Internet site:
"Research carried out at the Harvard School of Public Health, USA in 1994 found that 20.8% of the men and 17.8% of the women studied admitted to same-sex sexual attraction/behavior at some time in their lives. No data is available that predicts the percentage of the population who consider themselves to be bisexual, but have not acted on those feelings." -
I know several gay, strait, and bisexual adults. I agree with SteveA, if you're a bisexual female or male and you decide to be with one person for the rest of your life you'll either end up with a person of the same sex or with a person of the opposite sex. You can't choose who you fall in love with, it just happens. It would be a difficult lifestyle to maintain.

People assume because I'm married to a man that I'm str8. But I assure you I'm bi. And I'm sooo an adult.

I suppose the feeling about your orientation doesn't go away, but you need to have a pretty open-minded spouse to, uh, act upon your urges. But you're right...settling down with one person doesn't magically turn off all of one's old feelings.
