A keylogger program is a program that logs your keystrokes and sends it off somewhere for illicit use. Basically to steal passwords etc...You have some issues there. Don't you have a virus scanner? You should use spyware removal tools occasionally too. Here's a good one:Ad-Aware-SE-Personal-EditionYou should also download this "limited" virus removal scanner/tool. It will catch about 40 of the top viruses floating around these days. it gets updated periodically so a new copy needs to be downloaded every so often.Stinger by McAfee

The most popular (free) anti-spyware / anti-adware / anti-malware programs seem to be Spybot and Ad-Aware.It's been suggested that you run them in this order:1. 2. Spybot3. Ad-AwareI'm not sure why or if order matters, but that's how I do it.

Thanks guys for your responses - ok at the moment im running norton 2005, and i have ad-aware and spybot on the laptop, we have a software firewall and a hardware firewall - apparently this spyagent thingy runs in stealth mode and hides itself from spyware removal tools!! It took my other half half an hour to get rid of it, and he knows what he's doin wink wouldn't have ever known it was there is it hadn't made the laptop chug!

I would look into either registry editing or reloading your system.

I personally use autoruns. You can even take out all windows processes so that you are only left with nonwindows ones (yes thqt isn't a word so sue me..no wait don't). Autoruns lets you know what's at start up, so you can home in on viruses worms etc. That and adaware spybot I am am pretty much covered knocks on wood.Oh and a great site for looking up processeshttp://www.liutilities.com/products/wintaskspro/processlibrary/rundll/Lastly, you will really want to get the keylogger the heck off your machine.Hope this helps/is relevant
