I' m glad your parents taught you what you needed to know and that you got it in health class too. I never got told one thing about my penis, had to figure out what being uncut meant and everything that went along with it. That's why I spend so much time here helping others with this stuff.

Forskin Question

This goes to prove how inadequate our sexual education classes are... They preach how your not supposed to have sex what so ever for 2 years of your life, While this methodology has proven to be fatally wrong. Yet they dont teach simple and basic anatomy? Why?

My parents and doctors did tell me to pull back the foreskin and clean, but they didn't tell me it was supposed to go all the way behind your head. Even in school in health class, they never mentioned anything about foreskins at all. If they did, believe me, I would have heard it. My foreskin at the time only went back 1/10 of the way. My head only peeked out of the foreskin. Growing up I always thought that having foreskin meant that you had skin covering your head and it stayed there. I had no idea that you could actually retract the skin. The way I found out that you your foreskin could retract is when I went online and looked up info. on foreskins. This is where my eyes were opened. I always used to be afraid to show or tell people I had foreskin, for fear of rejection, especially from girls. I still have some fear about telling people because most of them don't know what a penis with foreskin looks like. They think it's a penis with nasty skin hanging over the head. They don't understand that it looks just like a circumcised penis when the skin is retracted. Now I'm 99% happy and comfortable with my foreskin and glad that my parents didn't choose to circumcise me. I would be 100% happy if I could pull my foreskin back further, as expained in my original post, during an erection.

Continuing with streching will help.I think I said above I was tight until I was 12ish... but frequent masturbation and always pulling the skin as far back as I coudl during masturbation helped. When the adhesions finally went away, i could at that point make my cock look almost circumcised like it is now... Fyi im at school i have computer access for 2 hrs most days. all works done so im playing :P

Thanks for the replies and I appreciate what you guys do for younger and uninformed chaps like me. Now I can easily retract the foreskin when both erect and flacid and my only concern is that the foreskin sort of bunches up behind the head on an erection rather then spreading out along the shaft. Should I be stretching my frenelum or my foreskin? I got a bit mixed up as I read through all of the posts in the thread. Also, my question for the uncut males on this board is - When erect, does your foreskin spread out perfectly along your shaft, if not - what happens? And my inner foreskin is also a little bit red compared to the rest of the skin on the shaft so if it was to spread out perfectly, the colour difference would look a little uneven lol. I'm guessing this is normal but I just can't be 100% because of the contrast of the pictures you guys have shown me.Thanks in advance for all replies, I am looking forward to reading them

Good questions, Akanomin. We'll attempt to do them justice. As you have elsewhere stated that your glans penis tends to pull down when you attempt full retraction, it's the frenum which is hindering your progress. A good exercise to facilitate frenum lengthening is illustrated here: http://www.foreskin.org/46-33-04.jpgPull firmly but gently out, away from your body, on the underside of your foreskin, where the frenum is located. Hold the stretch for up to five minutes, and repeat the stretch two or three times each day. Keep at it, and you will gradually notice improvement. Your frenum should be a bit more flexible, but until it becomes so, don't be too rough. Remember that circumcised men HAVE to be fairly rough in order to experience sensation, whereas with intact men, wonderful sensations during sex and masturbation are more easily achieved through slower, gentler, more loving movement. If your lady friends have become accustomed to masturbating circumcised men, teach them how to properly handle an intact penis. They will appreciate the communication. As for the relative incidence of complete retraction during erection among intact men ... it varies, individual to individual. Actually, full retraction is not altogether desirable prior to entering the vagina. At erection the foreskin should, ideally, cover the glans. Upon entry, the foreskin should be pushed off the glans by the vaginal sphincter, exposing the glans and the inner foreskin to contact with vaginal tissue. The same vaginal sphincter should pull the foreskin back over the glans penis at each outstroke, which action helps preserve vaginal moisture. If during sexual intercourse the foreskin splays out onto the shaft at all times .... your constantly exposed glans will gradually wick vaginal moisture to the air. Consequent evaporation will tend to cause dry, chafing, uncomfortable intercourse. If you wish to achieve full glans coverage during erection ... then foreskin stretching exercises will help.If you would enjoy seeing your foreskin fully retracted, well, stretching the frenum will assist in that end, but function should trump visual pleasure. Finally, the inner foreskin is not true "skin", it is mucous membrane. As such, it's similar to your inner eyelid, or the inside of your mouth, and the colour reflects the difference. Also, unlike the outer foreskin, the inner mucous membrane of your foreskin is chock full of nerve endings designed to interact directly with the mucous membrane of the vagina, as previously explained.Korydon

Hi, Lopo: Umm...does that mean that you have been able to retract your foreskin, or are you still working on enlarging the opening? Please look at this picture and tell us if you are able to observe your frenum this way: http://www.foreskin.org/46-33-21.jpg (You will probably need to use a mirror). The frenum is the narrow string-like slip of tissue within the foreskin.Otherwise, the photograph of the frenum on sdp's Male Anatomy page should give you an idea of what you are looking for when you ARE able to retract: Go to this site: "Foreskin and Circumcision Issues" at Afraid to Ask, and click on sdp's page: Male Anatomy. Scroll down and click on "frenulum". This photograph shows the frenum exposed when the foreskin is retracted during erection. Again, it's the thin thread-like tissue which begins just below the meatus, but which then splits to encircle the opening of the foreskin ... the whole taking on a semblance of the hangman's noose. Let us know if these photographs help you locate your missing frenum. OK?Rood

First of all, your foreskin is fine the way it is. If you think that it should retract any further than it already is, you may still have a little bit more development to progress in, but you don't have to worry about that. Your foreskin should stay retracted when you are erect, and unless you have EXTREME difficultly in unretracting your foreskin when you're erect, you shouldn't worry. As for the heartbeating thing, I have that too, so you shouldn't worry, it's the normal rhythm of your heartbeat and the way your body works.
