Why is uncircumsized penis seen as disgusting???I swear i've got some friends that just find it odd and unnatural. And my female friend has apparently had a bad exp. with someone who was uncut. She was complainin bought the smegma o_O.I swear us uncut guys just get such a bad rep.....
-
I just dont get it???
-
im not sure, im cut but i dont think anything is gross about an uncut penis, but the main thing i THINK it probably is that 'scares' people is the smegma and the scare that ur partner doesnt clean it very well, other then that, i dont know, whats ugly about an intact peace of skin?:O
-
It's becasue of guys like that who don't take care of themselves. Plus people are just so accustomed to the circumcised penis here it the US since a majority are cut.
-
Why is that actually? I thought Christens are not cut... :S (I'm christen and uncut)
-
aww personally I prefer uncut as long as they are clean saying that, I've only ever seen pics of cut... lol
-
Agreed, it has to do with cleanliness. I prefer uncut, but just like cut guys, if things are dirty, it's disgusting. If someone doesn't brush their teeth, why would you want to kiss them?

i think that the doctors in america that say that are CRAZY. although some are coming to the world of sanity and letting people know that there is no medical benefit (and it instead hinders the function of the penis) to circumsision. They say it's easier to clean. HAS ANYONE HEARD OF SOAP?!?! i find it soo easy to clean in the shower. (warm water with soap bubbles cupped in my hand, retract foreskin, and splash on a few times till clean) i DO however think it is hard to clean under my finger nails but we don't rip those off at birth.

Walrusboy ... a brief caution: Soaps tend to kill the protective bacteria living beneath your foreskin. Dermatitis or a fungal infection, the most common type of which is Candida Albicans or "thrush", can then occur, necessitating tedious attempts to control the malady. This, by the way, is a condition which more frequently attacks women's genitals. Ask them about it.Washing with plain, clean, clear water is all that is ordinarily necessary.Korydon

Good question, kO9, but I disagree with the implied assumption as to how people view the intact penis. Ignorance and prejudice play a great part in people's attitudes, but most Americans haven't a clue as to why they mutilate their children's genitals. Circumcision has merely become a bad habit. As they don't question the procedure, they are unable to deal with the normal penis. In he scheme of things, however, they are in a distinct minority.Have a circumcised American go to a nude beach in Europe, for instance, where almost every male is intact, and he will become the instant subject of attention. Most Europeans are horrified and unbelieving when they learn that a good percentage of American parents agree to have their infant children genitally mutilated at birth. It happened to a friend of mine. Circumcised at birth, he thought nothing of it until his exposed glans was made the focus of attention at a nude beach in France. He was so confused and embarrassed by the crowds of people gathering around him to discuss his misfortune, that he was prompted to research the subject once he returned to the States. He has since restored his foreskin. Many Americans, on the other hand, have become so inured to genital mutilation that they think it abnormal to be normal. Witness the unfortunate and demeaning characterization of an intact penis as 'uncircumcised'. "Intact" is more properly the term.Understand, too, that there is a peculiar vocal minority of men who have eroticized genital mutilation. They have coined the appelation "Circumsexual" to describe themselves, and they congregate at their own internet sites, such as "Circlist" and http://groups.yahoo.com/group/circumsexual It is not unusual for them to undergo multiple circumcisions. I have an internet acquaintance who admits of having had six! Two is almost de rigueur.Only remind your female friends that far more than intact men, intact females are MUCH more likely to experience smegma, and few of them would ever consider genital mutilation as a means of ridding themselves of the substance. It is, after all, primarily dead skin cells only. It's similar to dandruff. Controlling it requires nothing more than washing with clean water. So, the next time a woman suggests circumcision, tell her "Ladies first"! Korydon

I agree with most of what you say, but that sounds a little far-fetched. I've been to several clothing-optional beaches in France, and no one crowded around or stared at my quite average circumcised penis (except one woman, but I don't think she was staring at it was because it was cirucmcised). Are you sure that guy wasn't hung like an elephant's trunk or something? Does this guy speak French? Maybe they were trying to tell him his hair was on fire.
And then there was the time two French friends and I peed off a bridge while a Spanish woman looked on. No one thought anything of the one glans-y penis in attendance.

Of course his story is true, Steve. It was his search for answers after his return to the States which prompted him to contact our foreskin restoration support group: http://www.norm-phoenix.org/ Otherwise we would never have met. While I can't verify his linguistic skills, I can tell you that he was taken to the beach by his French hosts. And, no, he's not especially "hung". The conversation that ensued quickly focused on the American practice of genitally mutilating infant children, and after awhile, though he was profoundly shocked and disturbed at the reaction to his exposed glans, he became almost a bystander.Korydon

Shows like Sex in the City tend to severely exaggerate the cultural bias as well. I am uncut, and none of the girls I have been with really cared. In fact, with a lot of uncut guys, you can't even tell the difference when they're erect. When my foreskin is retracted, most people wouldn't be able to tell the difference unless they took a closer look.In my experience, blacks and hispanics don't find it odd at all because the circumcision rates are much lower among their populations. It's mostly white girls. But even white girls are becoming more used to seeing intact penises, especially out on the West Coast where the circumicision rate is the lowest. In Europe, it's the opposite problem. There is a great deal of prejudice toward circumcised penises.
-
It's the American culture and what's depicted in pornography. Many times when people see pornography they see a circumcised penis, so that's what they get used to. And because many are not educated about the foreskin, they simply shun it. Also, if you've ever noticed how guys say that sometimes girls smell like fish between the legs? Well that smell comes from the smegma created by their foreskin that covers their clitoris. Don't worry about it, just keep it clean, if you're confident, you shouldn't have a problem. Just take care of yourself.

Isn't it just amazing that we live in a country (i'm assuming we're all american here) where boob jobs for women are looked at as totally normal, but not circumcising the penis is considered weird.
-
Who thinks breast implants are TOTALLY normal? I don't think they are, I don't like the idea of fake breasts.
-
Down here it's exceedingly common, and considered perfectly normal, to have breast implants. You need to visit the big city one of these days.
-
Yeah in larger cities, definately a normal practice. But he was referring to America, as if we all considered it normal.
