So, how does one go about getting help these days for depression/other things? I have never had to help anyone else so I don't know what I should do. Do I go to my family doctor? Or just a doctor? And if I do, what I am supposed to say, "i haven’t been here for years I think are depressed?" And even then when you book an appointment what do you tell them it’s for, because I assume you have to book it for something?Any help would be greatly appreciated.

When you make an appointment with the doc you should n't have to explain why you want it for a start............I went to my family doctor to get help, and it doesn't matter how often you have been, just say how you feel, and they will make the decision on what to do.........

Yes, you can see a family doc and they can always recommend someone else if they feel it necessary
