Definition of love!

Love is being able to tell your guy anything, being able to go anywhere or do anything with him, without looking back. It's about falling asleep in his arms while he's singing to you, it's about spending many sleepless nights wondering what he's dreaming about, it's about spending forever together, and it's like seeing him everyday for the first time.

putting someone elses wants / needs above your own

I think the feeling is different for everyone. I think it's just the mere thought of them that sends tingles shooting through your spine and down through your toes and fingertips. When the very thought of seeing them smile makes you smile. When you can't picture your future without them in it. When you find that your first and final thoughts of the day are of that person. When you find that in spite of his faults you care for him anyway. It doesn't matter what you're doing or where you're at as long as the two of you are together. I think most of all you know you love someone when you can look them in they eye and say, "I love you." , and know that not only does he/she love you back but you that you could spend your entire life with that person and never have any regrets. Love is such a hard feeling to explain because it's so different from person to person. Some people could feel nautious. Some people could just feel light headed. Some could get that deep down fuzzy feel good feeling. But whatever the experience is from person to person, it's a feeling you never forget.

To me love is like an emotional roller coaster, it has many ups and downs, twist and turns, and the most thrilling ride you could ever hope to experience in your life time. To me love is knowing that you can share all your deepest darkest secrets, your aspirations, hopes, and your dreams with the person you love and know that no matter what they'll still want you in the end. Love is how their smile can brighten every room they enter, or how their voice makes you want to melt everytime they speak. Love is how their laugh makes you want to smile or how they can make you feel like you're the only two people on earth. Love is they way they make you laugh even when you don’t want to. Love is loving the way they sing and the cute faces they make, the way they use their hands when they talk and how it makes you giggle. Love is the way they kiss you, and how it makes you tingle deep inside, or how their hand fits perfectly with yours. Love is an amazing thing, and if you ever get the chance to love and be loved by someone, cherish every moment because you never know when it's going to end.

Love means "zero" in tennis language.Excerpted from Wikipeida, a fine source of Internet knowldege:In reply to: * Affection: appreciation of other * Attachment: satisfying basic emotional needs * Reciprocation: if love is mutual * Commitment: a desire to maintain love * Emotional intimacy: sharing emotions and feelings * Kinship: family bonds * Passion: sexual desire * Physical intimacy: sharing of personal space * Self-interest: desiring rewards * Service: desire to helpBiomatch defines love thus:In reply to:The affinity experienced between two people who are naturally able and willing to tune into one another's emotional, intellectual, and physical states - and respond to them in a nurturing and a stimulating way.Elizabeth Barrett Browning expains not what love is, but how love works:In reply to:How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.I love thee to the depth and breadth and heightMy soul can reach, when feeling out of sightFor the ends of being and ideal grace.I love thee to the level of every day'sMost quiet need, by sun and candle-light.I love thee freely, as men strive for right.I love thee purely, as they turn from praise.I love thee with the passion put to useIn my old griefs, and with my childhood's faith.I love thee with a love I seemed to loseWith my lost saints. I love thee with the breath,Smiles, tears, of all my life; and, if God choose,I shall but love thee better after death.

If there's nothing that you would die for, then your life isn't worth living.

"I refuse to accept the view that mankind is so tragically bound to the starless midnight of racism and war that the bright daybreak of peace and brotherhood can never become a reality.... I believe that unarmed truth and unconditional love will have the final word."Martin Luther King, Jr.

Okay.I'm not trying to get overly religious here but this is what I define love as:love is patient, love is kind It does not envy, it doesnot boast, It is not proudIt is not rude,it is notself seeking, it is not easily angered, It keepss no record of wrongslove does not rejoyce in evil, but delights in the truthlove always protects, always trusts ,always hopes always perservereslove never failsI try and love people in my ife by these rules but its not always easy !!!! lol As for romantic love I think when you find the right person you just know theres just this magic betwen you. That doesn't mean it will always be there though ,even the best reltoinship can die a painful death if you don't work on it.
-
Love is putting up with bullshit and things you normally wouldn't put up with from someone. Jk
-
I'd say that this a pretty good definition of love..."Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres." (1 Corinthians 13:4-7)I also agree with the rest of the posts. And for me one of the most important characteristics of love is TRUST.

To me love is like that drug that can make you do things that you normally would never do or put up with. But there are a lot of different kinds of love. A mothers love for her child is much different from the love that husband has for his wife. There is also a kind of love between friends. I believe that love is the one bond that allows us to live with each other. But true love between partners is only achievable by truling know your partner.
