my mom and brother both told me that if someone is un circumcized of has sex with someone who is not, it can give you cancer. I did not belive this, but do you know.

Cancer if un-circumcicized

No, it's rubbish. Cervical cancer is more common in women whose partners are uncircumcised, but that's still rare.
-
Balderdash. Penile cancer is extremely rare, and it is most typically a problem of elderly men who have throughout their lives neglected to wash their genitals on a regular basis. In fact, more males die as a consequence of circumcision than from penile cancer. Rates of penile cancer in Denmark, where the circumcision rate is less than 1%, are far less than in the United States, where circumcision rates have reached 90%.
Statistically, cervical cancer rates seem to be a slightly increased when the male partner is intact, but in fact the disease is most often related to the number of sexual partners which a woman has during her lifetime, particularly when the many instances of sexual intercourse are unprotected. Again, rates of cervical cancer in the USA are often greater than, or equal to, rates in countries where circumcision is almost unknow. By the way, clinical trials are now underway which promise to yield permanent protection from the virus which causes cervical cancer.

Yes, in an initial trial, the success rate of the HPV vaccine was 100%. This is great, great news.

Penis cancer and cervical cancer are far more likely to be the result of the genital wart virus than anything else. DC
-
More specifically Human Papilloma Virus (HPV)... Certain HPV strains do cause genital warts, however, these strains generally do not cause cancer. The other strains, that do not casue warts, are the bad ones.

Wow, that's a funny argument. You should say that if being uncircumcised has a risk of cancer, so does possessing breasts. If they say you should cut off your foreskin because it has a chance of giving you cancer, you should tell them women's breasts should be cut off to eliminate the risk of breast cancer. A little extreme you say? Possibly, but the concept is the same. What they said is untrue, it is so unlikely that it can virtually be neglected.
