Again, It wasnt ment to insult or agravate... I only know what I experienced for having mine for almsot 14 years, and then being staunchly opposed to it has forced me to research it nearly everyday the past 2 months. Granted there are somethings that it may solve, but the negatives far outweigh the positives...

An adults view upon circumcsion
-
DxLISHxISx_43 there is no major medical organization in the world that supports infant circumcision, and significant insurance companies also do not pay for it. APA,AMA,*CPA,*CMA (*canada), all major united kingdom, and all major otherwordly medical organizations say it shouldnt be done.

Umm, OK. I didn't mean to offend anyone. I was not informed properly I guess. And it seemed more common to be circumsized (from my own experiences). Thanks for the info though.
-
Its neigh impossible to offend me, Im a teenager.. If you do offend me I will forget about it in a few seconds... My attention span is shorter than other fallacies of my body.

i posted this somewere earlier but ive come to a point were i almost had a circ scheduled just because its so uncommon around here and ive been afraid to take it out for sex because im afraid the girl im with would think its nasty. Ne ways what stopped me was this guy a friend introduced me too who just got one done and he made me swear i wouldnt get one. He did it for teh reason i did and said the pain u go through and the sensitivity you loose arent worth it. Still after hearing this im nervous that ill be turned down for sex and be riddiculed :frowning:

Hey, 2much4skin, I know the pressures are real, but get a grip. Women who end a relationship based upon the appearance of a fellow's penis aren't worthy of his time. Why would you bother with anyone so shallow? If a woman can't rise above her prejudices to see you as a whole, integrated person, the opportunity to have sex with her by mutilating your genitals isn't worth the price. Jesus, find someone worthy of you, someone with whom you can spend your whole life, not just an hour or two.

Totally agree with AW. Most men here in the UK keep their foreskin and only choose to have it removed for medical reasons etc. It is disgusting what they did to you in the hospital here. Even if you have signed a consent form here in the UK you still have the right to wothdraw consent at any time regardless if you have signed previously or not. Well done on keeping your boys uncut and standing up for yourself. It amkes me glad of the olde NHS

you still have the right to wothdraw consent at any time regardless if you have signed previously or notThat's true here too. What was mentioned in the original post sounds completely insane--and illegal.

Aside from religious reasons (your own and not someone elses), I don't see any reason to remove a perfectly-functioning body part. If there's problems with it, then maybe...but as the old saying goes, "if it ain't broke, don't fit it"
-
What does it say about a "religion" that asks its adherents to mutilate their bodies? Actually, genital mutilation is NOT a religious rite, it is merely an old, outmoded tradition. Nowhere is genital mutilation mentioned in the Koran, for instance. Neither was Mohammed circumcised. A child automatically becomes Jewish if his mother is Jewish, and circumcision has nothing to do with it.If a religion depends for its value on genital mutilation, then it is bankrupt.Rood

Tell you guys what, if you google it hard enough, you will be able to find testimony online of a man who has a foreskin, was sexually active, then circumcised, sexually active again, and then he restored and was still sexually active, he said the restored foreskin was more pleasureable than when he was circumcised and he said that the restored foreskin still didn't feel good as the original foreskin. That's the only testimony of its type that I have seen, but that would also be the most unbiased testimony.

Some points to ponder on the subject. My son was diagnosed with phimosis at age 5. He had a tight ring, and his penis ballooned as he urinated, it came out like an aerosol. The young doctor had him admitted to our local hospital, and he was unceremoniously circumcised. There was no options offered, though I now know about prepuce-plasty, (just a small snip to relieve the tight ring) Phimosis can run in families. It is usually rectified by the chosen method of wanking, or exacerbated by a method that involves stimulation with the foreskin left over the helmet. But one can live very pleasurably with a tight foreskin. I Know. But on more than one occasion in my younger days It was recomended that I was circumcised. The medical profession is not given the complete run down on the benefits of the foreskin during medical training. Male doctors usually only have their own experience to go on. Indeed, female doctors have less of a clue.(certainly in my personal experiance). The problem starts when money is involved, as is the case in the USA. Untill there is a really successfull case of a doctor being sued a million dollars for un necessary circumcision, the practice will continue. The Jews and muslims are ruled by faith, No amount of anything can over-rule blinds faith. But it was recognised many years ago that if a child is circumcised it decreases pain threshold, and leads to more biddable children. And it reduces the pleasure of sex, Ask any old man who has been circumcised. He will have virtually no sensation left. My mother confided in me about that. You only have to look at the foreskin restoration pages to see that once the foreskin has gone, A great deal goes with it

Sorry, 56DC, to hear about your son's unfortunate and unnecessary experience. The medical establishment's woeful ignorance of penile anatomy and function is scandalous. Until recently, many medical texts featured photographs and diagrams of the penis which neither mentioned or pictured the foreskin, as though most men are born circumcised. Is it any wonder that doctors suggest circumcision as the first and only solution to every problem? Today, the majority of American physicians are themselves victims of genital mutilation. Knowing only their own circumstance, they tend to see circumcision as a "normal", as well as highly lucrative, procedure.
By the way, today, the preferred method of dealing with a tight foreskin is to "stretch" the opening, over time, and the best instruments employed to accomplish that end are the person's own fingers. Cutting always prejudices normal use and function.
