Hard white vein on top of penis???

I have had something similar. It is only visible when erect, and it doesn't hurt until it is pressed. It was a few years ago when I had it last. I just turned 45, and it first appeared in my 20's. It did not happen at every erection, just sometimes. I tried to reason it out at the time. I thought it had to do with how long I stayed hard, trying to make it last. I don't know any more about it, but it will probably go away.

Hey! Nice to see that you still visit, Tim.Tim, is one of the first (the first actually) members to this site.

If its on the top and is hard and only shows during erections, then it is most likely a tendon. We all have a tendon that runs along the top of the penis that connects to the PC muscle inside the body. Its this tendon that causes the erect penis to move up and down when you contract and relax your PC muscle. This tendon also controls the angle of the erection. Some guys have tighter tendons than others - tighter tendons usually lead to erections that point more upwards, while looser tendons lead to erections that point more straight out or downwards. This tendon is more noticeable on some penises than others. FWIW, I have a noticeable tendon running along the top side of my penis when erect too, especially near the base. Wow, so Tim is the first member! That's neat! Welcome back Tim! So if Tim is the first, I must be not far behind given my join date of October 2000. Man, I can't believe its been almost 5 years already. Time flies when you're having fun!

i found this online, i think this is what i have...What you are describing probably represents a thrombosis (clot) of a penile lymphatic vessel (not a vein). Lymphatics are tissue vessels that are present all over the body connecting lymph nodes. It is a distinctly separate system from blood vessels (arteries and veins). Rather than blood, the carry an opaque fluid called lymph. Their function is to keep the tissues healthy by filtering out harmful substances (such as bacteria, viruses, tumor cells, etc.) and enhancing immunity. Sometimes during sexual activity, the lymphatics get bruised resulting in subsequent clot formation. One notices a firm, often finely beaded vessel under the skin of the penis that is mildly tender. This is not a dangerous condition and the clot resolves on its own in a few weeks unless there is recurrent trauma to the area. Therefore you should stop massaging, squeezing, and pinching the area as this trauma hinders resolution of the clot by keeping the site irritated. Sexual intercourse or masturbation should only be restarted when the area is nontender and then only in moderation until the lesion has completely resolved. Obviously, all sexual activity until that time should be as gentle as possible under the circumstances.

Well now you have three different suggestions.

Good job, mixxed7! I think you've hit it on the nose, figuratively I mean, LOL!
Thanks, sdp for the compliment, but I don't think I was the very first here, I'da been a little bored and not stayed if that was the case . IMHO, Lance is the A2A man. Been REALLY busy with work lately. I do remember when this cool message board software was added, lots of posts had to be archived. Wow 5 years ago! You moderators do an awesome job.
