Friday night I drove a couple hours up north back to my hometown to visit some friends and my family and I had a couple drinks. I had two fuzzy screwdrivers (basically vodka, orange juice and peach schnapps) and a beer. The fuzzy screwdrivers were pretty strong... But for some reason I nearly died! I drank the drinks over the course of about two or so hours. I remember being at a bar and feeling unusually buzzed. Then I remember vague little pieces of barfing ALL over myself in the backseat of one of my friend's cars in route to another bar. I mean, all over myself. In my hair, all over my clothes... Then my friends left me in the car while they went into the other bar while I continued to barf my guts out, pass out, etc., etc., etc. When I got back to my friends house, they had to strip me, wash me off, get me into bed and make sure I was still alive all night. I threw up for like fourteen hours! Well, now it's Sunday night and I basically feel like I have the flu. I haven't vomited since yesterday afternoon, but I am very tired, weak, throat is sore (from puking) and my body aches. I'm super dehydrated. So basically what I'm getting at is wtf happened? I didn't even drink that much! I drink very rarely and it seems like the last few times I've drank I've gotten way sicker than "normal." Could I have an allergy or some kind of alcohol sensitivity? Should I be angry with my friends for continue to party when I was so sick? (I remember waking up to vomit and the door was open, what if someone were to have grabbed me and took advantage of me? What if I would have drowned?) And lastly, my hands have been numb and "prickly" since yesterday afternoon. Could this be from being so sick? Dehydration? I'm just blown away and immensly embarrassed at how sick I was... I'm nauseated just having to type this.

It could be that your body, being that you don't drink that often, has not become accustomed to any large or strong amounts of alcohol. Peach schnapps, and vodka are pretty strong to a 'newbie'. It could be that you over did it just by those drinks. Suggestions: Don't drink hard alcohol - spirits, schnapps, etc.; space out your drinks more, two drinks in a larger amount of time. Eat burnt toast after drinking. The carbon helps null the effects of alcohol, but WILL NOT take away the effects 100% and it's still not safe to drive after eating the toast.

I don'ty know whether it's the case here, but it ispossible to get allergic to alcohol.

I used to drink every weekend. And I would say I had a pretty high tolerance, for a girl at least. Then I started to get sick off of 3-4 Mikes Hard Lemonade. Which I was accustomed to drinking at least 6 and then more. Anyways, my friend asked me if I drank water while I was drinking. And I said no, thinking why would I do that? That would get in the way of drinking alcohol. Well, I started to drink a glass of water before I went out and sip on a glass of water while I continued to drink alcohol and it really worked. I guess I was just getting really dehydrated and the alcohol was making it worse. From your other posts about how hectic your life is right now, this could be the case for you too.Oh, and I think it's pretty crappy your friends left you in the car.
