Hey everyone im new here and i was just wondering how much should i start with? and i want to get good abs so what type of diet should i use oh i weigh about 135 or 140 have no clue but iwll know on thursday for my check up but any advice will help thanks.

Ask someone that knows how to do it so you can do it teh righty way, and start with just the bar, and do it liek 8-10 times and add weight so you can get an idea of what to do, and for the first few times have someone spot you so if you can't do the weight your trying they can help. for better abs a low fat diet is the best to do, because you need a low body fat percentage to have a 6 pack

no problem, and if its your first time lifting and you get sore dont just stop and get discourage like many people do just take a day or two of rest and keep going

Hey when i started working out, i was told to use dumbells first... For 2 weeks...That way you get your arms roughly the same strength and the bar won't be shaking... Maybe that might help you

No, Using dumbells is not a good way to be starting off. First of all when you do a dumbell bench you are only focusing on a specific muscle area, The Pectoral major. Second of all getting the teqnique down is nearly impossible for begginers. The barbell bench worksout the HOLE upper body. It also requiers little teqniqe for it to be done correctly so you wont strain yourself. Start with reps. 80 PD. 10 times simple, work your wight up and decrese your reps as you progress. than worry bout exersizes that focus on a certain muscle group
