I have posted about being "exhausted" and "fatigued" in the past. That made sense being that I was working tons of hours between two jobs, I was engaged and planning a wedding, etc. Well, now I'm married and down to one job and it's worse than ever. I struggled to get through my desk job all day long. Then I come home, cook dinner, clean up a little, and pass out by 8. Not because of lack of ambition or boredom, but because I can't keep my eyes open. I almost fall asleep driving sometimes! I have sooooo many things I want to get done and I find myself falling asleep if I sit down for even a few minutes! I sleep until nearly seven every morning, so I'm getting like 8 - 10 hours a night. And it's not that I'm getting too much sleep - it doesn't matter how many hours I get, whether it be six or twelve. I'm still tired all of the time. I even tried to train myself to sleep the same eight hours a night. I have a lot of nausea; but I've always had problems with my stomach off and on. What could be wrong with me? Lack of a certain vitamin or mineral? Something wrong with my body or metabolism? I'm so frustrated. Thinking about calling the doctor but I'm kind of feeling lame about calling and telling them I need to make an appt. because I'm "tired." I'm only 25, I'd like to have a life.

Any ideas?

I don't want to scare you but I've heard that diabetes can cause you to be very tired. Are you really thirsty all the time? Your best bet is to see a doctor not just for this issue but a complete physical.
-
As a matter of fact, I'm constantly dying of thirst! Which makes me have to urinate constantly. I never used to get up during the night, and I do almost every night now. I've got quite a bit of type two diabetes in my family, but if I had diabetes, it'd definitely have to be type 1. Guess I should make an appointment.
-
Sounds a lot like type 1 diabetes... I speak of experience (I'm type 1)
-
if I had diabetes, it'd definitely have to be type 1Why do you say that? A lot of young kids are now being diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. I'm not sure how you could tell the symptoms apart; they overlap quite bit for type 1 and type 2.

It really does sound like diabetes, get yourself down to your doc hon, and don't forget to let us know how you are hugs
-
YEp definetely sounds like diabetes....like Angel said, let us know how it goes
-
Well, I have an appointment at the doctors Monday afternoon. The difference of Type 1 and Type 2 is usually the onset - Type one can take a few weeks to develop and type 2 can take years... Most of the symptoms of type 2 go unnoticed because the progress so slowly.
-
If I were you I wouldn't wait till Monday... three days can make a lot of difference if you raelly do have diabetes...
-
Well, if it's diabetes, then I've had it for months. Three days isn't going to kill me. Did you happen to read my post about my vicious reaction to a few alcholic drinks? That would have nothing to do with diabetes, would it?
-
Good point, I didn't know you were the same guy who posted that. It was most likely related... how it was related I cannot say because I've never been drunk or anything...
My advice to you is just to take it easy until monday when you see the doctor... no alcohol or any of that... just in case
