I just recently started working out and I have a concern for my back. When I work out, I keep my back as straight as possible, but every once in a while it will move a little bit. Sometimes it even pops or goes into an uncomfortable position. I've tried keeping it as still as possible but it still moves. I come from a family that has naturally bad backs and have problems with it every day, so this is a very big scare for me. Is there anything that will help me?
By the way, it's mostly the upper back that tends to move around and scare me; I wear a brace for my lower back.

Injuring Back While Working Out

Well since you wear a brace for the lower back that may leave the upper unsupported. There is also the factor like you said about bad backs runnin in the family. i have a bad back and i have to be supper careful with everything i do. When i used to work out i had to be careful with the amount of weight i was using and my body position. Remember u can have the perfect positioning 99% of the time but it only takes one time to hurt ur back. Then its a bitch to heal and get back to normal. i dont wanna scare u but basically be very careful and listen to what ur body tells u.
