-
Ill be missing you by P.Diddy and faith evans, because my good friends dad died and i was pretty close to him and just listening to that song helped me through it knowing he was up there watching down
-
"Good Boys" by Blondie. It reminds me to stick out the tough times, never give in, and don't take any bullshit from anyone(Plus it's pretty catchy).
-
Falling Down by the Goo Goo Dolls. I was kicked out of one of my advanced classes and it messed up my schedule so that I could see that certain person in the hallways any more. It was also just a crappy time in my life and nothing was going right.
-
Baz Luhrmann - The Sunscreen SongNot so much a song as a speech that was once spoken to a graduating grade 12 class, but it's very inspiring. I'd suggest that everyone find it and listen as it helps to put things in perspective. I'd quote a line from it, but I can honestly say that every single line in that speech is inspiring.

after being through a ton of shit, there are plenty of songs that have been with me through it. One, however, is a perenial, almost a theme song.My War by Black Flag. It's short, simple and dischordant but the pure anger at betrayal reaches to my core.

Everything - LifehouseAfter I went through a little bit of a down spot about a year ago (which I still haven't fully gotten out of) one incident kept bugging me. I thought about it over and over again, eventually I started to hear that song in the background, almost like a theme tune to a painful memory. But each time I listened to the song each note told the story so I didn't have to visualise everything, I could just think it through. And that helped me get through it a lot! Although I can never listen to the song again without thinking of it, which is sad cause I really like the song.Cheers Darlin' - Damien RicePretty much the same kinda story, but I'm still not through it all yet.Creep (Acoustic) - Radiohead or Damien RiceThis is my song, it describes me. It is how I see the world and how I see myself.

Also another song that might help people, especially people who are lonely ...You Are Not Alone - Michael Jackson

Hm.. I have a few songs actually, one that is particularly saddening and touching at once. I sung it at my friends funeral as it was one of her favorite choir songs. 'Libera Me' an (italian?) song, sung at funerals, it means 'Free me'.
On a cheerier note, this one always helps me feel better
"All you need is love" the version sung in the film Love Actually, I fell in love with my future wife watching this in theatres, then made her fall in love with me by pulling a few strings and um... forkin out some cash *cough* to re-enact the scene cept.. less of a church, more in cafeteria of our HS :wink:another that really effects my mood would have to be Duvet(acoustic ofcourse!) by Boa. the line in particular "..i am falling, i am fading, i am drowning, help me to breath! i am hurting, i have lost it all, i am losing.. help me to breath.."
yet another! Avondale by yellow card really touches me  "If you're gonna rip my heart out could you use a knife thats dull and rust in color" really shouts to me.
and thats all i'll list because if i list anymore i may never stop..
