I agree with you. If a woman sodomizes a man against his will, it seems to meet the definition of rape under California's statues. And what if she hooked electrodes to guy in a way that gave him an erection, and then mounted him? In fact, just the sligtest penetration of a woman against here will is considered rape. A man wouldn't even have to be erect for that. I don't see why it wouldn't also be true in the other direction.

Is it possible for a girl to rape a guy?
-
While it is true that in this case, the female is of age and the male is a minor, nowhere in that article is the rape charge identified as "statutory". That is a different charge. Are we discussing whether it is possible for a girl to be legally charged for raping a guy or are we asking is it physically possible for a girl to rape a guy. That is, can a girl get an erection on a guy if he doesn't want it?I thought the question was of a legal nature and if that is the case, I think the article answers the question positively.
-
Responding to the first post..or..the poster...Television..LOL..all I can say. Rape is rape. Anyone can rape anyone. Now with legal circumstances..thats a whole different book. But as far as ability to rape..anyone can do it to anyone..so to speak...

That was an article from a Toledo Newspaper, not a court transcript. I would not consider it authoratative. It also said:
In reply to:
Gary Bishop, chief assistant Wood County prosecutor, had asked for the eight-year sentence, saying her case should be handled the same way it would if she were a man and the victim a young girl.
The subject of this thread is the legal definition of rape. An article about an adult female raping and adult male woud be more germane.
-
therefore no distiction between male on female and female on male.
-
No; therefore the article was about statuatory rape, even if it didn't specifically say so.
-
Ok, Steve, I quit. Otherwise you'll never let this drop.
-
Let what drop? You post an article about a statuatory rape, and because the word "statuatory" doesn't appear in it, say that it ends all debate on the subject.Well, it doesn't. But the California statutes, at least, don't seem to preclude the possibility of a woman raping an adult male.
-
My reading from the article is that Ohio's statutes don't either.
-
Why don't you find the Ohio statutes instead of relying on a Toledo Blade newspaper article? The article is about the rape of 12-year-old by an adult. Do you have any more facts about the incident beyond what appears in the article? Or better yet, why don't you find the Ohio statutes regarding rape?If there's nothing anyone can find about a female having been convicted of raping an adult male, what does that say? Keep in mind that under some (all?) state statutes, rape does not require genital penetration.

My friend raped her brother. That is just sick. He's still traumatized the poor boy.
-
Was she over 18 at the time? Did she get charged with rape?
-
No she was 17 at the time and he was 15. I don't think she realized it but it was like a studying hour gone terribly wrong. He came to me the next day at school and he was so pale. But he told his parents.
-
That is a pretty weird and unfortunate situation.
-
Tell me about it. I didn't believe it at first because 1)she's my friend and would never do something like that and 2) he's her brother that says all. But he showed me the hickeys she gave him ew. He told me that he thinks she was losing it or something. It was the same week she broke up with her bf.

Look what the worlds become, a place where young people are raped by their siblings...
-
I'll bet it hasn't just become that way. People hid things better in the old days, so we now have a romantic idea of how it was.

Good question and having been engrossed in this topic for Australian university I'll give some things to think about (seriously, some of my lectures are bigger than some US colleges). The things I say will be true in Queensland, Australia but the principles are applicable elsewhere.
There are a few ways that someone can be raped:
a) Statutorially
b) By inducement of a mistake
c) Non-willinglya) Statutorially
Essentially both parties consent (agree to acts) but there's something in the legal codes that make it illegal. Usually you'll find these circumstances where there is a huge imbalance of ability to consent. eg: child and adult, mentally impaired person.b) By inducement of a mistake
Essentially both parties consent but one consents because they are lead astray as to something important (usually identity) by the other party. To use an example, a male lies to a girl in a darkened room and tells her he's her boyfriend. Here you can see how such an inducement of mistake could also be made by a female. Is it rape? Depending on how your criminal law defines rape, it could be.c) Non-willingly
Essentially one does not wish to have sex or didn't ever consent to sex. The first one (not wanting to) is what most people consider to be "rape". We all think of a woman in a dark alley being jumped by a criminal. But what if you're getting intimate, and before having sex, the condom breaks? The guy then says "No, I don't want to without a condom," and the girl jumps his bones regardless. One can see how the physical aspect (ie, erection) is different from mental elements of sex (ie, fear of pregnancy, STIs/STDs). Rape? Again you have to see your state's criminal code, but it does really fulfil the criteria for rape. Rape: sexual intercourse without consent.
(The second type of non-willing intercourse is when one does not consent. Obviously in these cases the intercourse comes as a surprise. Examples include sleeping victims, victims who are drunk or with drug induced stupors. An example of this is if a male has an erection during sleep, and a woman uses that for sexual intercourse.)
Oh and to anybody who ever counters with "An erection is consent!" (as some of my friends do just to make me angry and teach them the law of rape again): A physiological reaction is very different to a mental one. Do you consent to blushing or to goosebumps?

yes a guy can be raped by a girl the show your talking about she got off cause she "payed" him for the ex.time the privet show

Could someone translate that to English?
