Ok bare with me. I am a very shy person and am not good with doctors, am actually very fearful of hospitals (used to have to visit and always got bad news, ect...) I am 16 years old and about 2 years ago I noticed a very small lump on the bottom of my left teste. Then about 7 months ago I noticed one on the right. Its right at the botytom each time. However the one on the left has gone! I talked to my friend (A girl!) and she had a similar problem with her breast caused by stress/menstruation. Could this be stress as I am a fairly stressed person (exams and all!). I don't want to go to the doctors however I am getting conerned. The nurse at our school us giving talks but it is about 3 weeks away and a the moment I would feel to conscious to talk to her. I would also think that that may be too long to wait. I am frightened that it is cancerous since people I know have died of it and it makes me even more reserved to go. I am a very worried. The answer I would really like to know is could it be stress or anything else? Should I wait to see? I really don't think I would ever really get the courage to go to see a doctor, and having a parent or friend would be out of the question or different reasons. If you cannot help could you possible direct me to a site with some advice if anyone knows any, thank you.

Question on small bump n doc thing.

It's probably nothing bad - testicular cancer very rarely occurs in young people. However, there's no way that anyone here can be absolutely sure what it is - no-one on the Net can be a substitute for a real-life doctor.

I feel you on that one man. I hate having my balls handled by the doctor. But I eventually did it once and I may have to do it again. You can do it too, just think of something else while you drop your pants and get felt up. Preferably something disgusting so you dont get a boner or something. LOL
