Yes, so, I was had a circumsicion done, and I'm pretty certain it didn't occur in a very pleasing way. I had the operation done, but, unfortunately to my displeasure it became infected. Incredibley infected, swollen, and even more painful that it already was, and probably should have been. So I went to the Specialist, who prescribed anti-biotics, which had no effect. The infection worsened to the point where I had a very high temperature and couldn't be woken up when I fell asleep on Christmas Day. I was taken to hospital then and spent the week after Chirstmas in there taking intravenous anti-biotics. That was Christmas last year, it's been seven and a half months and I still have a lot of concerns, and the Specialist has been no help whatsoever. He never told me what to expect, and what would happen if it didn't go properly. In his own words he "hadn't seen it go like this before". Firstly, there's a large, thick layer of thick skin around the area just below the end bit of it, that gets in the way. It's loose, and ugly, and I hate it. The Specialist said I might have to have more surgery to get rid of it. Also, some of the stitch holes are still there, and haven't gone away. Another thing is that the end bit is very rough, and sore to touch or stroke or whatever. It's still painful even this long after the operation and it's been very daunting. I'm afraid that everything won't get to normal, I don't know what to do, and don't have anyone, except one person, to talk to about it. Then there's all these horror stories of loss of sensitivity and all that, it isn't very reassuring. I don't know what to do about any of it. My parents don't help, I tried to bring it up with them once and they ignored it.

My story, and concerns...

Sorry to hear about all of your circumcision problems. Guys considering getting it done for non-medical reasons should learn from this post: there are major risks in getting circumcised!!!
-
It was done for medical reasons. The doctor said I didn't have any other choice. And yes, I've learnt there are some pretty big risks the hard way, so If you're able-bodied and healthy, don't fix something that isn't broken. I've got an appointment with the Specialist in a month where we'll have to talk about more surgery, something I'm not looking forward too.Oh, and if you get it done, make sure you have a doctor who knows what he is talking about. I'm still concerned about the pain and sensitivity, will it go away, or will I be stuck with it forever? :<

How old are you, loinbread, and what "medical problem" prompted the doctor to put you through this horror? What kind of a "doctor" is he ... a General Practitioner? An urologist? Also, the "Specialist" with whom you will consult in a month ... what is his "specialty"?Korydon

The Specialist was a urologist, or however you do spell it. Initially I went to my General Practitioner and he gave me a referral to the urologist. I had an extremely tight foreskin, and the urologist recommended that I have the operation. I asked about alternatives and he said that he couldn't see any. I'd heard of an operation where a doctor puts a small insicion into the foreskin, which as a result loosens it, but I guess it must have just been fictional.By the way, I've been using Vitamin E cream... down there... but it hasn't really been having any effect really.

Loinbread: Best drop that "specialist" ... the urologist ... the one who screwed up your foreskin and penis. He's an idiot who is only out for your money. Absolutely don't let him slice into your penis again, unless you want even more trouble. You would just be throwing your money away. More cutting will only make matters worse. You will be far better off after you restore your foreskin, which will help conceal the damage.
Your doctors should be sued for not telling you about the ease of stretching a tight foreskin. There's really no excuse for their not being aware of stretching, and you should chew them out over it. You might advise them to refer to the Foreskin and Circumcision Forum at Afraid To Ask, so that their woeful lack of knowledge about foreskin issues can be brought up-to-date.
I feel bad that we couldn't have intervened before those charlatans go to you. But don't feel alone. Exactly the same thing happened to me.

In reply to:I'd heard of an operation where a doctor puts a small insicion into the foreskin, which as a result loosens it, but I guess it must have just been fictional. It's not fictional, it's called a dorsal slit. It has its own disadvantages and isn't necessarily the best option, but it certainly exists as an option.

If you want to find a place to talk about this without anti-circ activists and trolls, PM me. There are several groups with a large membership of males circumcised after infancy who can give you answers based on actual experience.

If I might be so bold, Liamcny, perhaps you might suggest the internet site: Circumsexual? They have the good sense to tell it like it is, to wit: "This is a group for men that(sic) are turned on by circumcised penises, the process of circumcision, or the fantasy of being circumcised and/or performing circumcision on others. This is not an anti-circ nor pro-circ forum, nor a place to debate such affairs. It is for men, 18 and older, that(sic) find everything about CIRCUMCISION to be EROTIC."Korydon

Your fetish is showing. Kor. Why do you keep sending people to this site? It makes me wonder again how you can type "genital mutilation" so many times each day using only one hand, but I guess you mostly just cut & paste.
