I brought up the idea of using the birth control pill with my girlfriend, but she said she wouldn't want to because of potential side effects. She said that it can be harder to have children if you have been on the pill for awhile. Is this true? It does seem to make sense.

Birth control pill side effects?
-
Hmmm....perhaps. However, after five years of being on the pill, a friend of mine and his wife discontinued using them, after hearing a news report concerning possible side effects ... and BANG! She became pregnant within a couple of weeks.I suspect that each story that we hear may be true for that couple, but I doubt that a particular experience for one will necessarily hold true for others. Why don't you have your friend ask her doctor about an implant.Korydon

All women are different, and sometimes it takes longer for a womans body to get back to normal after being on the pill. But it doesn't make having children harder, your girlfriend is misinformed.

since my girlfriend has been on the pill we together have noticed that her boobs have gotten bigger.. i myself noticed that she gets more emotional and cries more often.. is this normal?

I think its pretty normal, i get VERY emotional about a week before my period - crying at adverts emotional!!!- and i remember that when i first went on the pill i was emotional for the first few months. I don't think its anything to worry about, unless theres another reason for her to be emotional in her life.
