Currently, the only thing I am worrying about is losing some fat, which I will be jogging and cycling, and gaining arm/chest muscle.I want to have as little as possible bulk put on me, as to keep weight down, but I would like to maximize my strength.Right now, I am going to start what I call "Breakdown push-ups", where I keep doing maximum sets of push-ups, with rest in-between until the point that I cannot do a single push-up.I am just trying to confirm that a) this is the right way to do it to gain endurance and strength, with as little bulk as possible, and b) asking how long I should generally wait in between each set? Thanks for the help.

Gaining strength, nothing else.

Are you sure you want to gain alot of strength? I saw this guy on Mtv's True life and he hate 7 meals a day and consumed I think 7000 calories. But if you really want to do it I guess you could eat a whole lot but still exersise a lot it will keep you healthy and you will be stronger because you're bigger in bulk size.

I wouldn't focus as much on strength, as just improving your overall athletic ability. Work on your endurance and speed. That seems to be what you're doing. You will improve your strength, but to see major improvements in strength alone, you'll have to build muscle. That comes from weightlifting and other slow repetitive exercises.I think that what you're doing will work great. As far as weightlifting goes, do low weight, high reps (builds endurance), and also try lifting explosively. Lifting explosively is where you go fast on the resistance movement, then you slow down to a normal speed on the drawback.

When I say nothing else, what I am trying to say is I do not want big huge muscles, as they weigh a lot.
