Hi.
During the past week, I've grown to like this forum. I thought it was a great idea for people who, frankly, are afraid to ask. I am a programmer, And i'm thinking of creating a program that allows you to click a subject (ADHD,Depression,Genitalia, etc), choose the symptom you have, or the part of the body... and then it will describe what it is and stuff. Do you think this is a good idea? Or is the site good enough reference for you?

I don't see how you could just choose the symptom you have and it will describe it. Nothing on the Internet can replace real time medical advice. Aren't there already programs out there like that? I know when you buy a computer you get all those medical things that come with it for example. I think the allure of a forum is a sense of community. We offer advice and share our ideas and thoughts with each other.

The problem with that is each person is different and most situations are different. If people are looking for what you're talking about, they might as well go to webmd. In my opinion, sites like that aren't that great.

One of the challenges you will face is jargin, both slang and regeonal.
