The word I was looking for was aneurism.
A localized, pathological, blood-filled dilatation of a blood vessel caused by a disease or weakening of the vessel's wall.
A vein on my penis changed quite a bit

Yes, I can't see any other colors there than pure skin color at all now that I check it closer. I guess I'll have to do something about it if it doesn't resolve soon.I also just got an idea too and put a finger on it and even if you'd expect it to, I didn't feel any pulse at all. Hmm... @sdp: ok, thanks :-/ I think I'll keep my eyes and fingers on it tomorrow and try be aware of any changes of any sort, as a start.
lymphangiosclerosislymph - A clear, watery, sometimes faintly yellowish fluid derived from body tissues that contains white blood cells and circulates throughout the lymphatic system, returning to the venous bloodstream through the thoracic duct. Lymph acts to remove bacteria and certain proteins from the tissues, transport fat from the small intestine, and supply mature lymphocytes to the blood.angio - vesselssclerosis - hardeningAn aneurism generally happens to an artery, when the vessel wall weakens. That doesn't sound like this situation.
Veins can swell like an aneurism, something akin to a hemmeroid.
True. But the're blue-ish. Maybe the blueness won't be as visible under dark skin.
My skin isn't really dark there (I'm caucasian ), and I can see another vein there that doesn't really bulge at all. It's btw less prominent when I'm not erect but can still be felt slightly especially if applying pressure to it.
If it swells with an erection, then it has to be a vein. I don't know of any other structures in that area other than a vein.
Just to follow up on this a bit... The day after this happened, things felt much better so I simply let it be, and now it's almost normal again. Only after sex can I feel a little bit from it, but it's not really visible in the same way anymore. As for "swelling", I'm not sure it actually swelled up, or if the erection just made it more visible. In any case, it didn't really feel like being filled with blood, but more like a "string" under the skin.Strange, and strange I could only find basically one web page about it. Anyway, it's pretty much OK now and has only been improving since this happened.
Glad things worked out ok for you. I find that most webpages have insufficient information when I'm Googling. However, NetDoctor can awlays be relied upon.
Hey Jug, any more updates? I just had the same damn thing happen to me. About 3 weeks ago my girlfriend was performing some heated oral on me and I felt some pain, then noticed that the right side of my penis shaft just after the head at the beginning of the foreskin was swollen. It looked like a vein had ruptured under there or something but like you said, there is no blue to it or blood color. Anyways, that went away but last night I was having sex with her and noticed it was back! Then today I masterbate and when it gets hard, I notice that the whole area where the forskin would be is swollen. When I'm not erect, I feel that really hard band/ring from one side, over the top and to the other side. The best way to describe it would be that it feels like the ring of a condom around the base of your penis but it's under the skin and lumpy. Man I sure hope this goes away. I'm gonna take about a month off of sex/masterbation and hope it corrects itself. This is scary and could be embarassing if I ever get with another woman.thanks
