I've had a fluey cold for a week now and have been coughing the whole time. My left testicle hurts every now and then. I can't put pressure on it, it hurts at the top of the testicle. I checked it and there's no abnormalities such as lumps etc. It also hurts sometimes when i cough.I was wondering what this could be? And is it related to my cold?

It's probably a mild hernia. When you cough hard, it puts a lot of pressure on your abdominal wall, which is a muscle that keeps your intestines, etc. contained in your abdomin and prevents them from falling down into your scrotum. Coughing pressure can sometimes tear a part of this abdominal wall, and the pressure can then get into your scrotum, which is why it hurts your testicle when you cough now. This is also why doctors have you do the "turn your head and cough" test while they feel above your scrotum - the doc is checking for hernia. If you have a tear in your abdominal wall, the doc will be able to feel your intestine trying to push through as you cough. In any case, hernias can be mild and heal themselves, or they can be a major problem (large intestine sags down into your scrotum and gets very painful) and require surgery. I would see your doctor and get that checked out.
